The Auld Pottery is a one bedroom charmer with a very convenient, central location! Just minutes from Haymarket train station and an easy stroll to the Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle. Enjoy a city break right in the heart of it all!

This quirky two-level charmer includes a well-equipped kitchen with lounge downstairs and a bright and spacious bedroom upstairs - sleeps two adults, perfect for a couple. There is balcony space off of the bedroom with clothes dryer. Washer, Nespresso machine, toaster, Microwave, kettle, oven/stove and fridge/freezer in kitchen. The sitting area shows the character of the house with its original late 1800s features mixed with modern spiral staircase. WC with shower.

Edinburgh Haymarket train station, Grassmarket, Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Usher Hall, Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh International Conference Centre and much more all within walking distance! Plenty of nearby restaurants, including Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indian, Italian. Many cafes and bars, including an American pool bar and traditional Scottish pub. Several grocery and convenience stores located within one to two blocks from house.

If preferred, bus stops are located just minutes from the house; buses can take you almost anywhere. You can purchase single-trip tickets or day passes with cash on the bus. Both the bus and tram stops just in front of Haymarket train station provide services directly to Edinburgh Airport. Tram tickets can be purchased from the outside ticket machines.

Bel appartement prĂšs du centre-ville, Melanie nous a rĂ©pondu vite et nous avons pu dĂ©poser nos bagages plus tĂŽt! Faites juste attention Ă  l’électricitĂ© dans la salle de bain et Ă  la laveuse.

Auld Pottery

Great location to walk to the popular sites and close to the grocery store. We cook all our meals so a working kitchen is important. The kitchen equipment was lacking and consisted of bits and pieces. The torch to light the gas cooktop was glitchy. The shower door was challenging to place correctly and there isn’t much room. Hot water wasn’t really hot. The bathroom didn’t work most of the time. The staircase was doggie and the treads are smooth and slippery. I had a slip when going down stairs in the middle of the night and bruised my toe badly. The place is cold and damp and the heating doesn’t seem to work. Our clothes took 2.5 days to dry. The place could use an upgrade.

Anniversary getaway

This was the perfect place for us to stay to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! Our furst visit to Edinburgh and Scotland! Bed so comfy and place warm and homely. Only issue was the oven wouldnt turn on and rhe plug sockets at one end of kitchen didnt work....suspect a fuse was out but we just plugged kettle in a socket in lounge! We didnt cook and just ate out and got takeaways. Was only a short stay so didnt want to bother the owner. Good location, went to a rooftop bar at one end of road and got pizzas from a place opposite. This was great vaue in comparison to a premier inn. We would stay again! Thank you for allowing us to stay in this charming pottery!

The property itself is meh. Not 4 star not terrible, location fine, but no hot water. Owner didn't reply until the next morning as we were literally checking out. We asked for instructions regarding parking and for an email to be resent with checking in info. That never happened. So had to call about parking. Was told free parking on street on weekends Nope. Got a ÂŁ60 ticket. Only free Saturday night. Owner was no help in telling us where to park. Railing has loose and missing rails, water never fully drained from shower and the street noise was incredibly loud. Our stay over a pub in Stirling was not remotely as loud. Would not recommend....would love a refund for parking ticket and no hot water......
