Private River Cabin with Playground, Fishing, Mountain View, Hot tub
If you want a true mountain get away experience while still in luxury this is the place. This is not just any old house placed in the mountains. This is a HUGE A Frame cabin converted in to a luxury mountain escape. The house is loaded with authentic experiences such as fallen trees from the property placed inside that actually hold the house up and spiral staircases fabricated onsite from the same trees. Most of the furniture was made locally and the floors are cut at a local saw mill with the old fashion circular saw leaving beautiful character behind. In addition to the comfortable mountain experience the house is loaded with Luxuries. The kitchen has brand new professional appliances and stocked with every item you would need to serve a 5 course dinner or quickly make a simple P&J sandwich. The bathrooms are truly like going to a spa. There are marble shower walls, over sized soaking tubs and all high end fixtures with rain can showers throughout. Firewood provided seasonally. Playground outside for the kids. No pets allowed. Free wifi.
We have 3 other cabins close by. Check them out on VRBO as well, #233335, 3264751 and 120551. All 3 of these other cabins are next door to each other.
The home is beautiful, located in a gorgeous location. The rooms were spacious with enough storage to stay comfortably for a week. We enjoyed the firepit and large living area.
This was a lovely property and it was very well kept. It was not clear that bedrooms are on multiple floors which is only an issue when deciding where to sleep everyone.WiFi was good but internet access was poor.
The house is beautiful and in a great location. Close enough to town but you have plenty of privacy. The house is very nice and worked well for 3 families. The river is beautiful. We spent hours swimming, tubing and walking up and down the river. There is a perfect tubing spot right around the bend. My only complaint is that the house is so far away from the river. With 2 small kids, I like to be able to sit by the river during naptime but this isnât possible. There is a steep drive/walk to get to the river but itâs doable. My 5 year old did it every day. The only other downside is the way the house sits, you canât really enjoy the deck from 12-8 because itâs too hot. Youâre in direct sunlight with no shade. Not the end of the world though!! We loved watching all the deer from the dining room window. I hiked to the Clear Creek trail one morning and saw 38 deer! Clear Creek trail is only 1 mile away and there is a great tubing spot there as well! If your family enjoys spending time in the river, this is a great spot!
This is the second time weâve stayed at this house, and we had a blast. We enjoyed going to downtown Ellijay and then eating dinner on the porch at the cabin. This year we found two vineyards a mile from the house which was fun! We canât wait to go back next year!
