Rented a cabin for the long weekend. NOT what we expected based on the online pics of the cabins. Did not have the "Maine cabin" vibe at all - more like 1980s RV interior design. Vertical blinds on sliding doors were missing some sections so no real privacy. Bed was very uncomfortable. Hot water lasted about 3 mins, so showering or washing dishes was tricky - to say the least. Not so friendly RV "neighbors" who felt it ok to have a projected light show, and be loud and obnoxious past 10 pm. We visited during "off-peak" season - cannot imagine what this campground is like during high-season.
Similar to a hotel suite, with the exception that we had to supply our own bedding (sleeping bags) and towels and wash cloths (packed in luggage). Quite spacious and comfortable. We would consider another stay in the future.
I stay was excellent, the apartment I rented was spacious clean and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly personable and accommodating. I will definitely be back again
Great place for family. Fire pit along with privacy made it special. Only downside for us was not ready to supply our on sheets and extra blanket gor sofa bed. Otherwise great stay and anout 30 minutes away from Acadia.
The bed mattress was HORRIBLE! It should have been replaced many years ago. We could feel springs if the mattress and sunk towards the middle when laying down. VERY uncomfortable. Otherwise cottage was great, and very clean.
Great place and great price! But when they say no linens, they mean ABSOLUTELY NO LINENS. No blankets, no pillows, no nothing. I am used to no linens meaning no sheets, but still having a comforter or something, but this was an absolutely blank slate.
Other than that it was great! Just remember to bring pillows and blankets.
We stayed in the apartments at the campground. Full kitchen, cable tv, wifi. Full sized bed and two full sized futons in livingroom. Everything was super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Campground and swimming area appeared very clean. We will be back!
The apartment was basic. It was clean, had a full fridge and stove with a gas grill on the porch The mattress was comfortable but the futon could have used a new mattress. It had chairs on the deck but it would have been nice to have a small side table to place drinks etc on. There was a beach, kayaks for rent and had a playground for the kids I enjoyed my stay
We stayed in one of the onsite apts. No linens (bedsheets, towels, pillows, blankets, etc) are provided, and they were very good at communicating that. We brought in our own, which was actually quite nice. Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave. Silverware and dishes were provided, as well as rudimentary cooking utensils and pans. The Pond is really - to this city girl - a large and beautiful lake. Gorgeous views on the water.
This is an awesome campground if you have a camper and are self sufficient. For us we flew from Georgia & rented one of the cabins by the lake. I had read âno linens for bedsâ & Even though it was inconvenient with us flying I packed bed linens for both beds & brought with me. We were excited about having a cabin by the lake. When we arrived the staff was super nice & awesome. They were even super nice to suggest fun things to do around town. Everything around the campground looked great but when we got to our cabin .. no linens means nothing!! No sheets, no towels, no wash cloths, No Pillows, No Blankets... there is nothing !! So unless you can bring everything with you donât stay. Flying in made it way to difficult to provide all this ourselves. They should also hire an exterminator. I realize itâs a cabin by the lake but I killed more bugs inside than outside. My daughter & I both woke up our first morning eaten alive by what weâre guessing looks like spider bites. We each had 6-7 bites upon waking up all itchy & red whelps. We were super uncomfortable & disappointed during our stay. For what we spent on this cabin we could have been at a decent hotel with free breakfast, a pillow & a warm blanket & no spiders. I would only suggest for those tent camping or bringing your camper. You MUST be self sufficient even down to your pillow.
We rented a cabin, and we we're pleasently surprised! The cabin was equiped with a microwave, a small TV and most importantly a fridge. We will most definetly recommend this camping, and hopely come back very soon!
