Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The rooms were all attached so the rooms were not super quiet. There are no rooms where animals do not go so people with allergies suffer. Overall it was clean and comfortable.

Hasn’t got sound proof rooms. Neighbors was very noisy limited breakfast options no meat or regular eggs. Hard boiled is the only option and only one grill worked right.

Location was great, as you are entering Estes Park. The staff was very accomodating as I last minute requested a room closet to the exit and lower level as I was traveling with my elder mother. definetly recommend.

Expedition Lodge is truly a hidden gem in Estes Park! The staff were so friendly and helpful — especially Tim, who went above and beyond. The room was spotless, and the one-time pet fee (around $25–$30) was very reasonable. I was so happy with my stay and will definitely be back!

Spacious room but outdated; you can hear everything outside the room. Housekeeping came at 8 AM for our 1-night stay and were very loud right outside our room. Expecting a great breakfast there were no eggs expcept some hard boiled and the elk chili was cold, really did not have any elk meat, and I got sick 2 hours later. The bathroom had some upgrades, but it was half done. This place needs a renovation.

My wife and I stayed one night at Expedition Lodge for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The building has an older charm but is well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent — one of my top priorities when traveling. The mattress was firm yet soft, with no sagging or worn spots. Breakfast was different from what I’m used to but pleasantly surprising. I usually expect bacon, eggs, and biscuits and gravy, but this lodge offered creative local options like “Build Your Own Estes Park Deviled Eggs” and “Elk Jerky Green Chili.” I wasn’t brave enough to try the deviled eggs (which I now regret), but the chili was fantastic! I’ve never had chili for breakfast, but I loved it, especially topped with a little shredded cheese. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived from Denver much earlier than planned after an early flight and reached the lodge around 11 a.m. I didn’t expect our room to be ready, but to my surprise, it was available, and they kindly allowed an early check-in — a lifesaver after being up since 1 a.m.! Thank you, Expedition Lodge, for helping make our anniversary getaway so memorable!
