Klamath is by far an under traveled town in the heart of the Redwoods. We loved the comfort of our room and the friendly staff. I do however wish they would extend the hours for the bar (8pm is way to early to close) after hiking all day we would have loved to have had a few drinks and spent some time in the casino.
Other than that this place is amazing and so close to miles of hiking throughout the Redwoods. We definitely will be back
Holiday Inn Express Klamath - Redwood Ntl Pk was a wonderful stop traveling from California to Oregon Coast. My sister who is a third grade teacher was thrilled to see the property was located where the Yurok tribes once settled. So some history combined with modern amenities (small casino, comfy beds) made it a great choice for us.
Canât speak for other rooms in hotel but our bathroom had strong, pungent, odor of dried up urine. Could smell right when walked into hotel room but was super strong in bathroom. We took Clorox wipes from our car to wipe the floors 3x and that helped a little. Anytime went into bathroom, smelled like public toilet. Not what I want from a hotel stay. Staff could not compensate because we didnât report it before cleaning it up ourselves.
Restaurant staff was super kind.
Had trouble with my room checking in but staff was extremely helpful and accommodating after a 10 hour trip we just wanted to get some rest. Beds were comfortable staff were very friendly. Loved the casino on the property . Hotel surrounded by trees very beautiful 7 min drive to trees if mystery. Overall good
Christina was so helpful when our room key needed to be reset and accommodated our request for 1st floor room! Great location to spend time with Redwoods! Melissa in the restaurant created recipe for tomato soup which was fabulous! Kudos to the staff! And great breakfast to boot!
Stayed here while visiting the Redwoods as options are slim. Hotel was clean, beds were comfy, staff was friendly and breakfast in the morning was a plus! they even had gluten free muffins (we have 2 celiacs in my family - so that made us very happy!) which is a rarity in such a remote location. Dining options are slim and everything shuts down at 8pm. Grocery store is about 20 miles alway so come prepared! We were happy with this hotel and would stay there again if ever in the area.
Nice hotel with a pool. We did not know there was a casino in the hotel so that was a fun bonus. There was also a full free breakfast and a little gift store.
I liked how friendly and helpful the staff was, the breakfast was great, variety, fresh and clean. It was not quiet between other guests and right off the freeway. I felt the pool area needed something more but i really couldn't say what except i felt let down. over all a pretty nice stay.
The hotel experience was wonderful. Very clean, great pool, nice rooms, wonderful staff. The free breakfast was good. You are right at the gateway to the redwoods and Trees of Mystery.
The problem is more the infrastructure around the area. The casino next door is just slot machines. The casino restaurant was short staffed, and limited options, we ended up driving into Crescent City for dinner, which made us think maybe it would be better to just find a hotel in Crescent City. This area could really use at least one good quality sit down restaurant.
