The landscaping is unkept tall weeds in back supposed to have a view, but the unkept rear yard is what we could see! The bath tub has stains in it that look like blood I paid full price and the jacuzzi and pool were closed! The advertisement says breakfast is available. But they do not tell you that it is NOt included (misleading people. Instead of just saying that there is a restaurant on site that you can my all your meals at) I feel cheated! I should get at least a partial refund because I paid for a jacuzzi and pool but was denied use of it.

It really is a gorgeous view. You just have to be prepared for non main stream beach stay. The property definitely needs TLC, the staff is young and friendly but they really need management to bring it to the next level. The beds were very uncomfortable just too firm for us, it was very noisy. We heard everything in our room. When we arrived we had to ask for a different room because the view I paid for wasn't what I got. They were quick to change us and I appreciated that so much! Just be prepared for a subpar stay, with phenomenal views. To the staff, thank you for being so friendly. To the owner, take some time and do some simple updates that will make a huge different. Cleaning the old calk and replacing with fresh. If the furniture has holes in it. Probably should replace it. The duct tape didn't hide the huge hole in the office chair in our room. Overall would I stay here again? Right now, no. After some updating. Yes!

I was disappointed with my stay. The room had several cleanliness issues, including mold in the bathroom, urine stains around the toilet, and cobwebs throughout. There was also missing tile by the bathtub, which made the bathroom feel poorly maintained. Additionally, for the price we paid, I expected at least complementary coffee, but none was provided. Overall, the condition and amenities did not meet my expectations.

Filthy Ocean Front Rip Off

Slow, aloof, front desk. Inappropriately dressed. Not friendly. Property is on ocean with so much potential. But this place is filthy. Elevator smells like hot piss and floors and walls are dirty af. If a health inspector came into these rooms, they shut it down. Walls have dirt on them. Tattered Couch in room looks like something you’d see on a sidewalk in ghetto. Bathrooms had hair and filth on toilet. Shower had a clump of hair on wall. Bedding hadn’t been changed, hair all over sheets. My wife, two kids and I slept on top of blankets and used our sweatshirts for pillows bc the pillows smelled like mildew. We got it in a pinch late on a road trip up to Seattle. Costs $300 for the night. Total rip off! Don’t stay here. This place should be condemned. Sold to someone who can actually manage it. Beautiful location with a ton of potential but at present it’s a steamy pile. Don’t stay here!

Crescent City is a cool town. If you want a convenient affordable hotel, with a view this is in a great location, we only spent one night passing through, but it was great! Would stay here again.

The television was hard to use and the room needs some minor repairs. Towel rack and blow dryer loose on wall. The couch in the room not really fit for sitting. The room was clean. The shower was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable and the hotel staff were very pleasant.

Motel 6 vibe by the sea that is in need of a deep cleaning. Loud hallways with stone floor including the loud ice maker echos down the hall. Forgot to service room, had to reprogram key mid stay. Employees not friendly. Ocean view is great but noise of outside air condition fan drowned out any ocean sound. Not worth the price.

Amazing Stay

Such a beautiful place to stay in Crescent City California. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated all of our needs. The kids loved swimming in the indoor heated pool and taking a walk on the beach. The sunset from the room was amazing. I was worried about the reviews I read on hotels.com but we had a really good experience. There was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children. The room was just right and we felt very comfortable. My son is special needs and we worried about safety with the balcony, but the door had a screw at the bottom that secures the slider. The only thing we couldn’t get to work was the jets in our tub but other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you Oceanfront Lodge. Hope to see you all soon!

The only nice thing about this place was the view, and the cafe. Our TV did not work AT ALL whether it was live tv or apps nothing at all recommend bringing an hdmi cable and adapter to use your phone. The staff placed a $100 holding fee when I got here that I was unaware was necessary, and considering they charged my card before I even got to the hotel AND it was non refundable I think the $100 holding fee is absolutely ridiculous. If I don’t get the fee back in the 5 days as I was told I would, they’re gonna have problems from me. The TV with 2 young kids was a major inconvenience, the beds are not the most comfortable, the soaps in the shower are large like containers so I can only assume people before us have used them which I think is much less sanitary than the mini soaps most hotels give, and honestly the neighborhood this place is in gives me bad vibes. Kinda sketchy wouldn’t want to walk outside alone. Like I said the only plus was the view and the cafe (which you have to pay for btw, no continental breakfast) our room was 275$ for one night and I give it a 4/10. That’s being polite…

waterfront view is good. but the bathrooms smelled horrific with urine smells in both of the rooms we rented. They could at least use bleach or spray. Also most outlets weren't working so it added more inconvenience. Outdated amenities are okay with me but uncleaned bathrooms are not acceptable for the rate we paid. Just very disappointed at Expedia as well. Expedia should screen out the poor selections below standard.
