The manor, completely renovated, has 7 suites that can accommodate 18 to 20 people, while guaranteeing calm and serenity.



Nestled in a 4000 mÂČ wooded park, the property has a heated swimming pool (open in season with supplement), secured by an access barrier and a security shutter, thus ensuring absolute tranquility. The manor is located a stone's throw from the historic center of the village, with its shops and restaurants, which allows its guests to fully enjoy the local heritage.

The manor's suites are designed to offer absolute comfort and a setting conducive to relaxation, harmoniously combining luxury and history.



  • Beynac Suite (1)
    Located on the ground floor, this elegant suite offers a comfortable double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and stone vanity unit, creating a refined space conducive to relaxation.
  • Jumilhac Suite (2)
    Inspired by the ChĂąteau de Jumilhac, this spacious and bright suite, located on the 1st floor, can accommodate up to four people. It has four single beds elegantly arranged. The bathroom, equipped with a large shower and double stone basins, adds a touch of sophistication to this suite full of historical charm.
  • Suite Les Milandes (3)
    Located on the 1st floor, this refined suite evokes the intimate atmosphere of the Chùteau des Milandes, famous for having been the residence of Joséphine Baker. It includes a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a double stone sink vanity, all bathed in natural light.
  • Puyguilhem Room (4)
    This room, on the 1st floor, offers an intimate atmosphere with two single beds and a classic decoration. The bathroom shared with the Jumilhac suite is equipped with a spacious shower and elegant finishes.
  • Hautefort Suite (5)
    Located on the 1st floor, this suite is a real cocoon of comfort. It has a large double bed and an adjoining bathroom with a walk-in shower and a double stone sink unit. The large windows offer a view of the gardens, providing a soft and soothing light.

Des vacances merveilleuses

Situé en plein coeur de la petite ville d'Excideuil, à l'ombre de son clocher si pittoresque, le manoir d'Isly, avec son ùme certaine, nous a tous charmés. Quel calme et quel repos pour ces 15 jours de vacances familiales intergénérationnelles dans cette si belle maison au bord de sa piscine, entourée de verdure dans ce vieux jardin, arboré simplement . Des piÚces magnifiques aux volumes conséquents, ensoleillés, une décoration choisie pour chacune d'entre elles. En un mot, des vacances aux souvenirs impérissables pour toute notre famille dans cette belle partie du Périgord vert qui recÚlent de beaux trésors culturels. Bravo aux propriétaires, avec lesquels nous avons eu de trÚs bons rapports, pour tous les travaux entrepris et qui restent à finaliser pour faire de ce manoir, notre maison de famille à tous !

The Manoir d’Isly was delightful. It has spacious rooms with high ceilings, 4 en-suites and 2 family shower rooms, lovely places for dining inside and out and a well-equipped kitchen. The pool, 2 table tennis tables, trampoline and baby-foot were great for the kids (aged 9-14).The attic bedroom with 4 beds is rather hot in the height of summer - luckily we didn’t need to use it. Fans are provided which is great.Excideuil has plenty of local activities including canoeing, tennis, running, markets, velorail, activity lake (de rouffiac) high ropes water-skiing etc. L’Anagramme is an excellent restaurant in town. If you want to drive an hour and a quarter, there’s even more to do around the Dordogne river itself.Thank you Mathilde for looking after us.

Le Manoir d'Isly

A stunning house in a great character full town! The property catered for all our needs, especially with 9 kids ranging from 3 to 16. The hosts were extremely accommodating and very helpful which made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Excideuil is a beautiful town with great shops and there are a number of lovely restaurants in both the town and the surrounding area. The market on Thursday is also superb. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone wanting to escape for a relaxing break away. Thank you.

This is a fantastic property for a family holiday. All the rooms are very spacious . The grounds are great and the pool is ideal for young children as it has a graduated step area to access and is very securely fenced in and is easy to shade with the numerous umbrellas. Mathilde the Host was excellent. Always replying quickly to our requests and she regularly checked and cleaned the pool. We gave a 4 for overall rating as we felt certain areas of the property were beginning to look tired and fixtures are wearing.

Very good, probably more of a summer spot

very well furnished house for a large group. With friends and family staying in the vicinity, we were able to have up to 25 people for a dinner or a lunch without too much effort. Everything is very simple, but in the winter with all the coats and shoes, we lacked space to put things away or hang them. The heating was barely coping with the vast spaces, luckily it wasn't too cold. The kitchen is fantastic, and overall we had a great Christmas time.

Great family friendly house

We loved our stay in Exedeuil. The house is really spacious with en-suite bathrooms for most bedrooms and a large kitchen with everything you need for cooking. It was fun to have ping pong tables inside and outside and there is plenty of room to sit and chat inside and outside. The village is beautiful with a great butcher and 3 boulangeries! The Thursday market is fantastic and there’s masses of other beautiful villages and markets around the area. We went kayaking on the river one day and that was also really fun. I would highly recommend the house for friends and family.

Amazing house in the middle of a beautiful village

The property is fantastic and we were very well looked after by Laetitia, Matilda and Lorenzo. We were a party of 13 with 6 adults and 7 children from 7 years old to late teens. There was plenty of space in the house and the gardens for us to spread out. The house, and in particular, the kitchen is very well equipped making it very easy to cater for everyone. Excideuil has number of little bars and cafes and there’s a large supermarket nearby so didn’t need to travel far for supplies. On Thursday morning there’s a great market selling everything from fresh fish to clothes. I would thoroughly recommend!

Relaxing stay in a beautiful manor house

What a place to stay! We were so happy with the house, the facilities - garden and pool area are great and Mathilde the property manager was so helpful with suggestions and answering our questions. We were already talking about coming back next year on the second day. The kitchen was so well equipped, 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers - perfect for our large group. Supermarket is close by, you can also order online, but not much to do in the town itself. You definitely need a car to explore around - and there is loads to do. The house is stunning and a perfect base. We will be back!

Delightful Manor, beautiful interior set in lovely grounds

We loved the Manor and the close walking proximity to the town - out of the gates and down the hill. We felt incredibly safe which was important as we had five young children with us. The bedrooms were beautiful and the space within the Manor perfect for our age range. No need to go anywhere else as this place has everything to offer. We cooked and lived and enjoyed the Manor of Islay enormously. Thoroughly recommend.

Family Gathering

This home is beautiful and has a lot of good attributes but it’s also lacking some importance elements for the amount it costs a well! Communication is not the best with the host! We did not hear from her until the night before we arrived and therefore things were not ready for us the way we expected upon arrival! The pool is listed as heated in season but the owner will try and change you 50 Eros a day just as a heads up even though that is not in the listing anywhere. The pool is amazing when it’s clean and they will tell you they come twice a week to clean and service it but they do not! Also towels are not included for the pool so bring them yourselves. Also we had a clogged drain we had to fix in order to prevent flooding in one of the bathrooms and the wifi does not work in many parts of the house so be prepared to use it on the main floor and kitchen areas only! If the temperatures get very warm the third floor is not comfortable for sleeping even with fans provides as it extremely hot so if that is part of your numbers in your party you may want to take that into consideration. Otherwise the home is very beautiful, in a lovely town, and about an hour away from many places in the Dordogne area.
