Very good

The staff were not very pleasant or friendly- it was like it was all an effort . Until we met the cleaners - they bothered to talk to us and the guy in the swimming pool area was really friendly and seemed to want to work. The shower was broken and the toilet wouldn’t flush in our room. We didn’t have enough towels for our family.
Our stay was excellent, the staff frendly and helpful.the accommodation was very good spacious if a little tiered .

Good cheap hotel
Only stayed for one night but it was just over half the price of the local Premier inn and I was given an apartment not a room, pretty clean with a sea view and plenty to do there although I didn't have time to use any of the amenities. Free parking on site and a decent restaurant, Only thing is it's a pretty old hotel and looking a bit dated and tired but not really an issue. I will try to book this hotel again if I am in the area in the future.
Good value for money, we had an apartment but found bed to be uncomfortable and deco, extractor fan, heating to be stuck in the 80s. Also the shower was really poor. But all this ok because it was a short stay and it’s a fair price
It is time capsule hotel is great for the enthusiasts of the 1970s and 1980s deco. The hotel establishment needs a proper refurbishment, its "leisure club" shower area is full of mould, each hotel corridor has a different type of musty odour. It is all very shame as the location and views are great, the hotel staff trying to their best to accommodate the needs of the mainly senior customers.
Booked this last minute as British weather is very unpredictable. Very pleased to get a genuine sea view room. The location of this hotel is great for the seafront and promenade and the gardens are lovely. The hotel is a little tired and smacks of past grandeur but for the price you can’t complain. The staff are great and the atmosphere very relaxed. The only issue really was the evening dining where there is only an hour and a half for ordering and one guy had to do all the bar and serving. He was very good but a lot of people gave up and went into town when you would have thought the hotel would want the money. The food quality however was great and the breakfasts in particular were splendid. Would definitely come back.
Well it was mixed .
Not a bad room but bit too near main corridors and noisy above in the mornings.
No bedside lamp which seemed odd. Only very bright spotlights. Asked for one and they brought an uplighter but not a lamp in sight! Food unexciting but ok. Menu very samey. They wont let you have a 125 glass of wine ! Only larger ones even if a guest.
Fridge noisy but useful.
Better night porter and more attention to safety of guests, after a drunken fracas during the night near reception, would help!
I had an early arrival in Exmouth and they kindly offered to keep my luggage until later that afternoon. The room was comfortable with the things that would usually expect to find, television, kettle etc. The room was clean apart from a few old marks on the carpet. For once I had a shower that was easy and safe to use, my only recommendation would be the availability of a non slip surface for the bath.
There was parking provided but I would recommend care, one vehicle outside the front of the hotel made it impossible to use one entrance due to the short length of the parking space, though there were clear signs on the building warning of the length of the spaces.
I didn’t use the bar or gym and so cannot comment on them.
Generally, not modern or luxurious but I would recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel is a little tired. We had worn carpets and old fashioned decor in our room/suite. However, it was cheap. The staff were helpful. The gardens in great shape. The outdoor swimming pool the absolute best. They are closing it for winter next week. There is an indoor pool with sauna, steam room etc, that all looked great, but I love swimming outdoors.
