Waterfront villa in Långstrandsudd: Panoramic views, private sauna, and dock


Welcome to a magnificent archipelago home "Furubo" in Långstrandsudd on Värmdö – a haven of peace and beauty with breathtaking views. Just a drive away from Stockholm, this villa offers an escape into tranquility in the heart of the Stockholm archipelago. Guests can also use the nearby tennis court free of charge, just a few minutes’ walk away!

Built in the late 1960s, the house offers sea views to the south and north. The interior is predominantly pine, hence the name Furubo, while the beams in the living room are likely oak. The open fireplace features stones embedded from the Stockholm archipelago.

The sauna, "Skomakar Olles stuga," was brought from Hälsingland and dates back to the 1800s. This is a converted cobbler's cottage, now a sauna with a wood-burning stove and a shower. From the sauna, you can take the steps down to the dock for a refreshing swim. The jetty is deep enough to jump and dive. A motorboat or a sailboat can moor at the jetty.

The villa has a total of five bedrooms plus a sleep shed.

The house, including the sleep shed, accommodates a total of 14 people. However, it is recommended for a maximum of 8 adults. On the upper floor, there are three bedrooms, each with two beds and beautiful views. On the lower floor, there is one bedroom with three beds and an extra room with a single bed and a bunk bed, accommodating three people. Additionally, the charming sleep shed next to the main house has two single beds, ideal for those who appreciate being close to nature. Please note that this shed does not have bathroom facilities but is conveniently located near the main house.

The villa has three toilets in total, one with a shower, and a separate shower on the lower floor. There is also a separate shower in the sauna. The large living room with a fireplace and dining area offers lovely views and is perfect for socializing. The fully equipped kitchen has both gas and electric stoves and overlooks the sea. On the terrace, there are also two grills available: one gas grill and one charcoal kettle grill.

Next to the villa, there is a glass-enclosed greenhouse with seating for two to three people, also offering a nice view.

Despite its secluded feel, the villa is easily accessible, located just 80 kilometers from Stockholm Arlanda Airport and 40 kilometers from the city vibe of Stockholm. Nearby, by car, you will find shopping at Mölnvik shopping center and a local grocery store in Stavsnäs. Ferries from Stavsnäs harbor take you to the picturesque islands of the archipelago, including Sandhamn for a day trip. The area also offers beautiful swimming spots and authentic restaurants for exploration.

Swedish archipelago delight

The property was wonderful with water views in all directions. We had lovely weather which made this property so enjoyable. The house is situated on a high location with amazing views and the dock is down a path to the water, making it nice to take a dip. The house is spacious, and well equipped for large groups. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. It’s a lovely place in the Swedish archipelago.

Great house at the Scheeren garden

We stayed with four families (11 people and one dog) for a week and were amazed by the house and the surroundings. 4 bed rooms, really well equipped kitchen, direct access to the sea (via a steep stair case to a jetty). We could also use the nearby tennis court for free with equipment at the house. Our host Helena had great recommendations for day trips, practical tips like how to get to Stockholm - overall very nice and pleasant experience! We’d come back any time.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this house. The location is simply amazing, with a stunning view over the sea that we never got tired of. We were a group of 10 people, and the house was incredibly spacious and comfortable, especially the large living room, where we could all spend time together while enjoying the beautiful view.The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and all the other rooms were exceptionally well equipped with everything we could possibly need - and more. The villa is located less than an hour from Stockholm, with grocery shopping available less than 15 minutes away by car. At the same time, you feel completely remote, surrounded by the beautiful archipelago. We even had the pleasure of seeing a deer and rabbits in the garden.One of the absolute highlights for us was the sauna house. We used it every single day during our two-week stay, followed by a refreshing jump into the water from the private jetty below. It was such a special experience and really made our stay unforgettable.The host was also incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive. When we asked about possible water-sports equipment, she even offered to pay for two stand-up paddleboards for us after a phone call. The boards are now at the house for future guests to enjoy, which was such a generous and thoughtful gesture.All in all, this was an excellent stay in an amazing house with a truly spectacular setting. We would absolutely recommend it and would love to come back!

Charmantes Ferienhaus mit grandiosem Ausblick

Die Beschreibung des Anwesens trifft genau zu. Man genießt das Grundstück mit Sauna am Hang und das Wasser auf allen Seiten. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und irgendwie echt schwedisch. Tolle Ausblicke gibt es vom Haus aus in viele Richtungen, es thront auf dem Felshügel.
