The property is located in a quiet area only 2 km from Färjestaden and 300 meters from a bay.



The cottage can accommodate up to five people and has two bedrooms, each furnished with two single beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a dining table with a comfortable bench and chairs. In the cozy air-conditioned living room there is a sofa bed, coffee table, two armchairs and a Smart TV with satellite channels with Swedish and German channels and a door to the garden. The fully tiled bathroom has both a shower and toilet. In the adjacent outbuilding you will find the sauna which has some sea views, a shower, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer.



In the nice little garden at the front of the house you can sit and relax. Here you can have your breakfasts or dinners, as there are both tables and chairs, a grill, a parasol and a swing for children. You hardly notice that the house is next to the owner's residential building. There is also a free charging box for electric cars and Wi-Fi. Bicycles, high chair and bath toys are offered free of charge. Guests have four bicycles at their disposal, as well as one for children.



To see and do in Färjestaden and the surrounding area



Around the corner of the house you will find a nice hiking trail towards the seashore that takes you to the left to a beautiful viewpoint and further to forest paths, straight ahead instead down to your nearest child-friendly bathing jetty in a bay, which is located only 300 meters below the house. From the bathing area, the path continues to the right 1.2 km to Färjestaden harbor with several restaurants and small shops. One of the historic car ferries remains but also an excursion boat to Kalmar center on the mainland that also takes bicycles. The property is located in a quiet area only 1.2 km km from Färjestaden harbor and 2 km from the Köpstasden mall with ICA Kvantum, restaurant, gym, several other shops, library, bank, etc. If you instead go up Storgatan from the harbor you will find more restaurants and shops, including Coop. At the bridgehead, 4 km from the cottage, there is the beautiful tourist office and another shopping area.



At the harbor there are also nice sandy beaches and mini golf courses. If you want to play golf, Saxnäs's fine golf course is just 15 minutes away. For the children, you can take a trip to Öland's zoo and amusement park, which can be an experience for them. You can also visit the royal castle of Solliden or Borgholm with its fascinating castle ruins and all its shops and restaurants, or why not take a trip to Kalmar with its historical buildings inside a historic city wall and its well-preserved Vasa Castle, which offers guided tours and temporary exhibitions, in the summer of 2025 one about Egyptian mummies. At Skälby 4H farm, also in Kalmar, you have close contact with the farm's animals. The farm and castle are popular with families with children.
