I would never stay in this hotel or recommend anyone ever stay there. The deadbolt on the door did not work, they told me they would come and look at it and never did. It is a two story hotel with no elevator and I was on a long trip with a 50 pound bag checking in at 1:30 in the morning. If the entire town was not sold out due to a homecoming, I would’ve switched in a heartbeat.

I checked into the first room at Quality Inn in FarmVille, VA and found roaches all over the bathroom. They gave me a second room but two people were arguing next to me and I thought they were going to kill one another. I considered dialing 911. So I went back to the front desk and they offered me a third room. I said no way. I left and got a better motel. Since the reservation was through Expedia and nonrefundable, neither Quality Inn or Expedia will give me my money back. I guess no refundable reservations are just an easy way for dumps like this one to make money without customers even having to stay there.

I will preface this by saying that the staff there are incredible— so helpful, friendly, and attentive. Unfortunately, the building itself is in dire need of maintenance work and upgrades. We stayed for two nights, and during our stay, we did not have hot water in the shower. I mentioned to the staff, and maintenance addressed it, but it only got hot once after that. Also, the AC unit did not work properly; it would turn on and off sporadically, even when the setting was turned to "continuous" airflow. This led to the unit kicking on all night, then shutting off after about 5 min, and kicking on again at random intervals. We mentioned this to the staff as well, but they may only be able to do so much, as the unit looked quite old. These were our main issues; otherwise, we were pleased with the service, location, and price.

Never stay at this hotel. It needs a total renovation. The lock on my door didn't work. The tub faucet dripped constantly. It smelled. The mattress was dirty. The finish on the tub was peeled off. The bathroom door had been abused and then painted over. Missing lightbulbs. Dirty hallways. Miserable.

The chemical smell gave us headaches. There were holes in the walls that were not patched in the bathroom where the shower curtain was moved. There was one bracket on the wall where a towel bar used to be. Will not stay again Hardly ever saw anyone from the staff.
