Viewpoint Cabin offers you light and airy interior where you feel suspended in air. An architectural masterpiece!!!

When you are inside, you might curl up in the cozy window seat and read your favorite book. Or you can step outside to the view deck, perfect for enjoying the brisk morning air or bask in the warm afternoon sun on the lounge chair. Then, you relax in the hot tub on the deck.

We had an amazing time. Enjoyed the sunset on the deck, the tub and comfortable bed, everything. Well stocked kitchen too. For others' benefit, all roads are paved. I would use the long route if you get there at night or have a big car, about 15-20 min once inside the community. Lots of deer so go slow. We saw 5 herds the first night so, 10mph or less.For the short route it's about 5 min. Turn right after the wooden guardrail, there will be a warning saying the street is not that way but it is. The road is very narrow, sharp turns, and about 70 degree incline at a couple of points. Go dead slow. Perfectly fine during the day in our small coupe.

Lovely home with everything you’d need. Stayed for a weekend for some quiet R&R with my spouse. Plan your meals ahead unless you’re prepped to trek into town. Home was clean, cozy, had extra firewood and comfortable bed. Hot tub is an added plus! Would easily come back - especially in October!

One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed at. Well stocked and great coffee station. We really enjoyed the deck and hot tub. We also went into Blowing Rock as suggested, cute mountain town. Highly recommend!

The cabin was very cozy. The hot tub worked perfectly and has an awesome view of the mountains. The readily-prepared firewood was very convenient. Our host, Joy, was also very responsive.The primary shortcoming was that the additional "beds" are not truly beds and one of them was filled with stinkbugs. Another was that the fireplace works but is very volatile - despite following the instructions carefully and having extensive fireplace experience, we set off the fire alarm probably 6 times during our short stay; the flue seems to be poorly installed/designed. Besides this, we had to re-wash all of the dishes before use as they weren't properly cleaned and had a bad smell to them, likely from the dishwasher.Overall the experience was great and we would rent again, though likely just for 2 people.

This is the third time my wife and I have stayed in Viewpoint Cabin. We stayed for 3 nights for half of our Honeymoon in 2015 and loved it so much we came back for a full week in 2017 and again for 3 nights in 2025. The property seems to have been well taken care of, and we were excited to see that the house and property are relatively unchanged from our previous stays. The house itself is absolutely amazing with incredible views! The mountain roads to get to the cabin are definitely an adventure but totally worth it. The cabin itself is worth the trip. But we have been blown away with how much we have enjoyed the surrounding area, specifically Blowing Rock, Boon & Grandfather Mountain areas. I had noticed that a previous review had mentioned that the deck needed repairs. However, all of the decking had been recently replaced when we arrived.

The property is secluded and has an amazing view. Quiet and very peaceful is the best part. The deck needs work I fell partially in one of the planks and hot tub likely needs to be repaired. Heat was in excess of 110 when it was opened Place was clean and comfortable. Overall good place to go just needs some basic upkeep
