DO NOT RENT - HOT and SMELLS TERRIBLE - And will not refund me

Please save yourself a headache and do NOT rent the apartment… it looks cute on the website but the AC did not work and the shower smelled like something died in the pipe. We were in the apartment less than two hours and we had to leave and book a last minute hotel because it was SO BAD. I sent multiple emails to the host and the VRBO partner saying we were leaving. The host never responded and the VRBO partner said the rental fee was paid directly to the host so they couldn't refund and that I needed to talk directly to the host. They also tried to reach the host but had no response. I spoke with VRBO who also tried to reach the host multiple times but had no response. I tried really hard not to write this review because I'm not typically a complainer but this is a SCAM and VRBO, their Italian partner or the host cares to correct the situation. They can not advertise that the apartment has AC when it was 105 degrees in there. The smell was so bad that we could literally not stay in the apartment one minute longer. We are definitely not high maintenance, but this was the worst situation. And even more disappointing is that the host will not refund. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS DREADED APARTMENT.

An Amazing Stay in Florence

Overall really great stay in Florence. The hosts are very responsive and the location was right between the Duomo and the train station. All amenities was provided as suggested. Similar to other reviews, the apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator so plan accordingly if you cannot climb a lot of stairs or have heavy luggage to bring up and down.

Great location!!

Great location across the street from the Centrale Market and in the middle of the leather market. Lots of stairs to climb to get to the apartment. Apartment is small- but ok if you just need to sleep there. Clean, bed was comfortable and toilet paper and hairdryer provided.

les points positifs : la localisation très centrale et le calme. , appartement propre les points négatifs : le canapé lit du séjour a un sommier métallique qui grince dès que l'un de nous 2 bouge, c'est très gênant ! pas de rideaux aux fenêtres du séjour, vous avez le soleil en pleine figure pour votre réveil la porte des toilettes grince et on réveille tout le monde en y allant odeurs d'égout insupportables dans la salle de bains qui obligent à laisser la fenêtre ouverte j'aurais apprécié que soient fournis au moins une éponge , du produit vaisselle et un torchon l'essoreuse à salade est cassé il n'y a ni bouilloire ni théière ni pot à eau , la cafetière à l'italienne est minuscule et il n'y a pas de cafetière électrique ,

Die Ferienwohnung liegt ideal, man kann alles in 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen, gegenüber ist die Markthalle, die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern hat sehr gut und einfach geklappt.
