Fantastic wooded find

From exploring the grounds, sitting on the amazing 2nd floor patio, loving on the property cat ‘Karma’, to exploring the Mandeville area - everything was wonderful. Marcus the owner was also very attentive, helpful and friendly! We plan on coming back this summer with our kids this time.

Teen girl’s birthday sleepover
Publié le 3 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for 5 teens and 2 adults. Ample cooking utensils, pots and pans. Beautiful location. Elevator is convenient for loading and unloading, otherwise, stairs are available. Geaux Pizza and Wings is nearby and very good!

Wonderful stay
Publié le 14 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is definitely a hidden gem of a property. Very nice! Kitchen was well stocked with everything that you need. Lots of space, seating, and storage for your things. The shower in the main bedroom was really nice and spacious. Very clean house! Outdoor area is great to just sit and relax while spending time with each other. The outdoor cat that hangs around is very sweet and loves to greet you - my daughter and I loved getting to see him and will miss him lots! Internet worked well, as did the tv channels. Beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Very quiet area to stay with lots of privacy. Definitely recommend and we hope to stay again!

Rude, dirty beds and trash
Publié le 7 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayAll in all I feel the house was really misrepresented. It was in disrepair. The "stocked kitchen" had 2 filthy pans. We arrived to dirty beds and the previous guest's trash in trash cans(a long with flies). I found sheets and changed them myself. When I contacted owner about dirty beds (dirty everything really) and full trash cans he made some excuse about the previous tenants trashing the place and house keeping not having time to clean it? No apologies. Everyone expects at the very least not to have to clean up after previous guests just to sleep not to mention we paid cleaning fees. We didn't check in until hours after check-in either which was communicated with him. The house keeper just chose not to properly clean it and we were told tough. This is not the evening I wanted after driving 9hours to get there. Unprofessional is the nicest way to put it.

And here we go! The annual b.s review from a visitor that is never happy about anything! I have a 4.85 star average rating on VRBO'S competitor's site and an almost 5 star rating here on VRBO.Im pretty sure I didn't get these ratings from having a house " in disrepair". The kitchen. Has a full set of pots and pans, mixing bowls, serving ware, baking utensils, etc. In regards to the trash, I believe " Karen" here was referring to the bags of trash from the previous guest, that were outside and awaiting pickup. The sheets were not dirty. They are changed each time. It is true that the guests before her were very rough on the house , and we were scrambling to get the house cleaned on time. We did run late, but I did offer a late checkout to try and compensate. NOT ONCE did I, nor would I , tell a client " tough" . For everyone reading these reviews, let me set reasonable expectations. The VAST MAJORITY of the guests absolutely love this house, which is amazing. This is not a resort. It is a house. It is on the river and the elements can be tough on it. We do our absolute best to maintain the home and keep up with the maintenance, just as I am sure you do the same for your own homes. For $195 per night on weekdays and $245 a night on weekends , you are renting a very unique, interesting, architectural gem that is 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The house has amazing views of the river and is very peaceful and serene. The house is not perfect, but it is in absolutely no where near the condition that this cheerful lady is representing it to be. Again, I would not have this many high reviews if this were the case.

Secluded & private
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery private and isolated. Exactly what we were searching for this trip. Built in the woods so nature is all around while sitting on the back deck relaxing with a glass of your choice.
This property is handicap ready for wheelchair individuals or seniors. Parking great especially when bad weather arrives. The elevator is located under house parking therefore loading & unloading is ideal. A very welcome plus.
I always bring extra blankets everywhere I stay & they were
used. This isn't any reflection on the heating system at all, its just a senior citizen thing.
All in all we were very satisfied and the owner was very helpful in every way.
