Hello and welcome to our lovely, colorful condo, Pelican L-01 !

Our peaceful and inviting nautical condominium is perfect for an amazing bay and beach vacation. With a great location on the surreal Emerald Coast, a 700 foot Lazy River, you are sure to come back year after year. This unit is a ground floor unit/lanai where guests can sun or step outside the gate into the lazy river with a gorgeous bay side backdrop. The waterfall pool, gradual entry pool and two large hot tubs provide a variety of activities for water lovers. The patio/sunning decks in this water area provide both shade and sun for people of all ages. Large lounge chairs, tables & chairs, umbrellas are provided for your leisurely days spent by the lazy river. Grills w/ tables are provided in the green areas behind the lazy river. There is also a walkway for strolling alongside the bay and marina. Free beach service is provided when you go to the ocean. A toddler pool, hot tub, and Destin West's largest pool and exercise facility are the additional amenities found on the beach side. You can easily access the beach side by walking the sky bridge from bay to beach, or you can drive to the round-about in front of Destin West Beach Side, unload your family and beach equipment, park your car in the shaded parking deck and walk from there to the beach.

LOCATION:
Our condominium is centrally located between Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We are five miles from Destin and one mile from Fort Walton Beach. You are in the middle of two of the best vacation cities in America. Not only do you have four miles of undeveloped land on one side (free of mass crowds of people), but on the other side you have access to the Gulfarium, beach side restaurants and shops, fishing, water-sports, and more. Take your pick! Either side has the vacation you have been waiting for.

FEATURES:
Not only is our location perfect and our condominium's sunny, but the view is unforgettable. Imagine an oasis of palm trees with cool, turquoise water running like ribbon (the lazy river) around gorgeous tropical landscaping. Lounge on our large porch and overlook sailboats floating by on the inner coastal waterway while watching the kids float by on the lazy river.

BAYSIDE POOLS:
Close your eyes on our private patio and listen to the waterfall hit the water in the additional heated pool and you will think you are in a tropical paradise.,,,,or enjoy the 5000 sq.foot pool, gym, and super large pool at Destin West across the street. We also have internet access for those of you who need to connect for business. With so many features, how could you pass this up?

Beautiful condo and resort! Condo right next to lazy river on the bay. Easy access to beach side with chair and umbrella set up. Everything we needed was provided. Great communication with manager. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay in Pelican L01 bayside. End unit condo had lots of windows and was so easy to walk off the patio to enjoy the lazy river, pool and bay. It was close to the elevator to access the 3rd floor skybridge to cross to the beachside. We enjoyed the umbrella and chairs included during our stay. The condo and property were both beautiful and well maintained. Parking wad easy and always available close to the condo.Meredith was so kind and made everything so easy!

The condo is clean, and well equipped. The double patios are awesome and so convenient to the lazy river. The owner was so wonderful to work with. This is our second year staying at this condo, we love everything about it! We will definitely be back next year!

First Floor Condo Convenience-easy access to pool/lazy river & bay, FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN!!

We were here for our son’s senior spring break trip. The ground floor location of this unit was perfect for group meals and easy refills on beverages by the pool We also used the grassy knoll area to grill out a couple of nights and quickly realized that the unit was equipped with serving utensils and a mini crock pot and cookie sheets and storage containers and mixing bowls and sharp knives and everything we needed as a large group!! We so appreciated it, it made our stay so much easier :) We were also provided with six very nice beach towels to use for the week and this unit came with beach chair reservations on the gulf side of DestinWest, which not all of the units provide. Access to both bayside and gulf side was great!!We also appreciated the quick communication with the property management throughout the process. Very last minute we were able to add another night to our stay and were able to access our condo before check in time, which was FANTASTIC!! We highly recommend it for your vacation. We were three people and were super comfortable for the space. Stay here, you won’t be sorry!!

I would give this place 100 stars if I could!

We came to Okaloosa Island for a family vacation. The condo and its amenities were absolutely perfect. The unit itself was very easy to access and we loved being able to walk from our unit to the pool! The hot tubs, lazy river, and pools were a hit for the whole family! We used the patio, made several dinners in the lovely kitchen and enjoyed strolling around the property, especially the marina. This unit was beyond fabulous and we hope to get back to enjoy it again!

So this was our second stay at Destin west on the bay side. Last years was good but this years was GREAT! Absolutely love the decor, the customer service and everything was amazing! and for the record this would be the first time we have ever had a bed that was not like sleeping on a bag of new papers. slept so good! great work guys!

Best vacay ever!

My family (me, my husband, and our two daughters ages 10 and 13) stayed here for one week. The listing is accurate but completely undersells the amazingness of this property. The location is perfect and the space was clean and well stocked. Parking was easy and so was check in. We were supposed to arrive right before Hurricane Helene hit. There was wonderful communication from the owners regarding our reservation. Luckily there was a couple days after our stay that were empty so we were able to push our dates back to miss the hurricane. We travel a lot as a family and this was hands down our family's favorite vacation! We plan to make it an annual event. We had no issues, the weather was perfect, the space was perfect and the resort was perfect. This condo is across the bridge from the Destin area which is nice because it is not so congested. The beach was peaceful and not too crowded. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful time at this condo. It was impeccably clean and stocked with everything we could need. I like a firm mattress, so I was in heaven. If you prefer something softer, you will probably want to bring your own mattress topper. The one time I had to contact the host she was very responsive. The resort grounds are clean and beautiful, especially the lighting around the pools and lazy river at night. It rained a lot while we were in Okaloosa Island, but we still found opportune times to use the pools. Overall it was a perfect stay!

Great resort, below average unit

My stay in this unit was great when it came to the resort amenities. The pool and lazy river was excellent! Access to the beach and bay was great! However the unit itself was not the best. For the price point we paid I would have expected much better. The oven and stove were very cheap and took 20 mins to heat the oven. The coffee pot was very cheap and leaked all over the place. It took a good 12 mins to brew a full pot. None of the mattresses were comfortable at all especially the couch bed. Owner should provide a topper for that bed at a minimum. Also the hallway where the bunks were was right in front of the utility closet. Whenever the AC came on it would vibrate very loudly in that closet which made it hard to sleep. Lastly I have stayed in several vrbo’s in this area prior and this is the first place the owner only provides 1 roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel, zero bar soap for the shower and only 2 dishwasher tablets. Again you are on vacation and the price we paid should definitely include those essentials for the amount of days you rent it for.

Always A Fantastic Time

This is our 3rd time going to this condo and it never disappoints. Only 1 small complaint is that the master bedroom did not get cold enough at night. The ceiling fan and box fan helped but wish AC was better and/or we could make it lower than 68. I still enjoyed this vacation and will return. My family and I love the spot. Don't get the trip protection insurance!

We have no issue with the condo or owner. Meredith was very kind and helpful. We were in contact the entire time and she knew our circumstance. I gave them 5 stars because there is NO issue with them! This is a warning to not buy the Generali Insurance! We bought it because my father-in-law was sick and we might need to cancel. We ended up canceling the trip, but Generali would not pay! I provided all the information and documents needed and they still did not refund us. I am very disappointed and frustrated!

Overall great little condo. Wish that the hallway bunk room had a door. We ended up buying a tension rod and blackout curtains to help with light control and noise. Outdoor porch was a wonderful space for meals. LOVED that we could see the Boardwalk fireworks from the master balcony.

Beautiful condo and resort

This condo was beautiful and clean. It was actually much larger than I expected and it was so nice to have that second bathroom since there were six of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and there were plenty of towels. The washer and dryer were great to have also. Just a forewarning for those with mobility issues - the king size bed in the master bedroom is tall/high. You definitely have to climb up in it. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see where it would be an issue for some. The resort was so nice and picturesque. Sadly the beach was only open on our arrival and departure days so we only got a couple hours of water play on the beachside. All other days were double red flags. Thankfully, my kids didn’t mind playing in the bay, the resort lazy river, and pool. My husband and son also enjoyed fishing from the dock. They caught a few but most broke their line (and even a pole) and got away but put up a nice fight. I’m so glad we chose this resort. Having access to the bay for swimming and fishing really saved our trip due to the water on the beachside being closed. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved This place

Our family really loved this place! The view, lazy river, first floor, pools, hot tubs and great location. Communication with the renter was amazing too!
