This property was great for a ladies weekend away. Pros: Fantastic neighborhood! Very quiet, nice sidewalks to go for a long walk or a run. The house is also conveniently located near grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, and a movie theatre. Easy to find and get to from the highway. The layout was nice with the upstairs having a master bedroom suite, plus two bedrooms and a bathroom, living room, kitchen and dining area. The basement was huge, with another full bathroom. The view from the living room is very relaxing looking out at the water with ducks, geese, and swans. Nice big TV in the living room. House is nicely decorated and welcoming. The bedroom mattresses were very comfortable. Communication with the host was great, very responsive and helpful. Cons: the house needs a deep cleaning. The walls, baseboards, doors, cabinets all need to be wiped down because they are very dirty. The showers were fine, but some stray hairs were still in the tub. The blinds in one of the bedrooms are broken and need to be replaced. One bedroom may not have been cleaned prior to our stay with a wrapper on the floor and hair on the sheets. The trashcan in the kitchen is a small bathroom trashcan and there were no kitchen trash bags. The water dispenser and ice maker in the fridge did not work. No furniture on the back patio. Overall we enjoyed our stay and really loved the location. This could easily be a 5 star property if it is cleaned and broken items fixed/replaced.
