Franconia Notch, Cannon Aerial Tramway, White Mountains National Forest, all await. Nearby Echo Lake has sandy beach, picnic tables, kayaking, swimming and boating.
Other nearby activities include, airport w/soaring and bi-plane rides, kayaking, canoeing, fabulous fall foliage. House is 15 minutes from Cannon Mt. Ski Area, 30 minutes from Loon Mountain, plus many other ski areas, all 2 hours or less.
Large yard is a birdwatcher's paradise: blue jays, robins, downy woodpeckers, crows, chipping sparrows (sound like chipmunks), black-capped chickadees, wrens, mourning doves, cardinals, goldfinches, flickers, brown creepers, least flycatchers, cedar waxwings, yellow belly sap suckers. Woodcocks and wild turkeys have all been sited.
