Beautiful, Relaxing, Spacious Cottage with view of Vermillion Bay!
"Truly amazing place! We loved our stay!
This raised cottage provides a nice view of Vermillion Bay and only a short distance from Cypremort Point State Park! You'll enjoy a moss covered live oak shaded yard, two large screened-in porchs with cool coastal breezes and amazing sunsets! Spacious interior is comfortable with all major appliances allowing you and your guests to relax during your stay. Large space under cottage is perfect for outdoor cooking...barbeques and seafood boils. Se Bon!
Let us know you're plans and we'll set up fishing trips or tours of this remarkable estuary! Fantastic fishing, crabbing and birding available!
This cottage had a beautiful view and was so peaceful. Couldnt beat the location. But there were a few issues.. the front door knob was broken so you couldnt lock it or open and shut with out the knob falling off. The bedroom with the 2 queen beds had dirty sheets with hair all over them! The water smelled like metal and had a yellow tint to it and made our skin smell like metal or rust or rust. Clean property, accurately described as in listing. Enjoyed our stay here for Memorial Day weekend. Just keep in mind the high tide can reach under the camp. So be careful what you leave underneath overnight.
We were never given the code to the lock box or wifi password by VRBO. Had to contact host. He was kind and provided information that helped us. That is where the review stops being positive. House was filthy with cat hair everywhere, all over the rugs, balls of it under furniture. There was cat hair on the Blackstone griddle and old grease and bits of food from whomever used it last. The house is tiny. Bedrooms tiny, one walk in shower, one clawfoot tub. Bathrooms were clean (other than cat hair everywhere). The 3rd bedroom occupants didn't have access to any bathroom unless they used the other's when available. 2 bedrooms are elevated 6" from main floor. The step up or down is a trip hazard. Living room is cramped with furniture. You have to move a sofa forward for the refrigerator door to open. No closets, instead chest of drawers. They are full of the owners items. The coat closet is stuffed full of the owners items. You have to live out of your suitcase. Screens are ripped. Beds sleep ok. Bring water, house water stinks. Lower level subject to high tides and flooding. House more of a fishing camp. Filthy house, says no pets but cat hair proves otherwise. Nails sticking up on deck floor, we drove them back down. Fridge and freezer full of owners food. No ice maker. Would NOT recommend staying here.
It is in the middle of nowhere. I asked for a beach front,it is a marsh front. The nearest water was at least 2 miles. I asked for a place close to Lake Charles, it was 2 hours away. We went with the sole purpose of attending my grandson's collegiate rodeo. he could not stay with us because it was too far. away. but the host was great!!!!
