Escape to nature at this cozy, A-frame cabin located on a private, wooded lot right between the towns of Franklin and Highlands. Here, you'll also be conveniently close to hiking and biking trails, waterfalls, and the Cullasaja River for fishing, wading, and tubing.

Inside this sunlit, three-story retreat, you'll find a well-equipped, full kitchen to help you prepare everything from your morning coffee to elaborate dinners. Dine together at the adjacent table with seating for up to six guests, and then gather in the living area to stream your favorite channels on the Roku-equipped TV.

Take in amazing views through the east-facing windows across the valley towards the Cullasaja Gorge or head outside to relax or dine on the wraparound deck accompanied by the peaceful sounds of Peek's Creek right across the street. The property is surrounded by native plants and flowering trees, and you'll also find a flat, grassy area for outdoor games.

It was a great stay. Just a few things that were wrong.The Roku remote in the living room batteries were dead (no spare).The hot water was not very hot and did not stay hot for very long.

Good. The door handle on the outside of the sliding glass door was missing. That made it hard to close the door from the deck. The dehumidifier was not working efficiently as it seemed humid inside. While we were there the power went out due to lightning. We understand that nature cannot be controlled..

Wonderful stay!

We had a great week at this cabin! Easily accessible just off the valley floor! Clean and perfect for us! The spiral steps can be a little difficult to navigate but not too bad. One bedroom on the main level was convenient.

Mountain Retreat

We really enjoyed the chalet! It was very clean, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the deck overlooking the forest and mountains was really pleasant. We felt very comfortable, during our two week stay. The only suggestion for improvement would be adding a handle to the outside of the slider, to make it less difficult to open.

Cutest cabin with beautiful view

The driveway was a little hard to find in the dark, but once we found it the cabin was perfect. Our kids loved having their own little loft and beds. The fireplace made for a perfect place to settle in after a long days play on the snow tubing hills. They had coffee for the coffee maker to get us started for a few days and soap in the shower. The morning view from the porch was perfect. Would definitely come and stay again.

Perfect place for my solo trip!

The location was awesome overlooking Peeks Creek with some good Mountain Views. Felt private & secluded without sacrificing convenience of paved roads and nearby Highlands Rd. Loved the windows in the great room, gas fireplace/stove & covered parking. Thank you!

Cozy cabin in a quaint location

The cabin was the perfect size for my girlfriend and I, though it would have been great for a family as well. The location was tucked away nicely, but close enough to Franklin that anything we needed was nearby. We would love to come here again!

Wonderful cabin, wonderful area

We loved staying at the Chalet. The cabin was spacious and clean, with plenty of space to be together, or to have quiet time/privacy. The location was great; we felt secluded, but safe. So many beautiful lookout points, trails, hikes, and GEM MINES! Highly recommend.

Beautiful Views and a bad bed

There was not a bad view from any of the property. The chalet is beautifully situated on the property between three mountain tops. It would have been a perfect rip had there been enough linens for our guests (without sleeping adult sisters in the same bed) and a comfortable bed for us on the lowest level. The king bed on the lower floor is past its use-by date and should be replaced. We referred to it as the marshmallow or the hammock. If you can avoid using the lower level for sleeping this is a very nice location.

Not Pleased

This was not the customer service and cleanliness I am accustomed to from VRBO!!! A local company apparently owns or manages this home. There was dog hair in all the carpets. The towels were “car wash” rags thin!! There was something inside those that caused a rash on our entire family. I tried to reach out to customer service and got dismissive answers. Was so bad we left a day early!!

Perfect Hide Away/Zero Customer Service

The property is beautiful and just what we needed for a rest. Wish we could have stayed longer. It's small, but there were just the two of us and the downstairs bedroom was great. Kinda wish we had the grans so they could have slept upstairs. Maybe next time. We had a family emergency arise and texted to ask about changing the dates. NO response. No one ever contacted us at all. There is a list of checkout info on the house and another the day before you leave, so be aware. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Great fit for a family, grandparents, too

We loved it! I would say the spiral staircases would have me a little nervous if my kids were really little, but they’re 6 and 13 so it was great. Main floor has no stairs and access to everything so if you want to avoid stairs you can. Nice outdoor seating, pretty creek to walk our dog along, and the windows and natural light were lovely! Bedrooms and bathrooms were great, too.

Peaceful Retreat

Had a great stay here, had plenty of cooking items pots pans etc on hand and had a great visit. Only wish they were more specific on checkout criteria. Turning of the heat completely in the middle of winter could result in busted pipes.
