Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Retreat, also known as the Blue Family Ranch. Here, rustic charm meets the tranquility of the Rocky Mountains. Conveniently located in Fraser, Colorado, just 5 minutes from the Safeway grocery store and 15 minutes from Winter Park, our 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom ranch comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests, making it an ideal getaway for memorable family vacations.

Our ranch offers a welcoming family room, a dining area, and a cozy breakfast bar adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped with modern appliances. The back room has a hot tub and card table.

Enjoy the warmth of the original working wood fireplace, fully stocked with firewood for your stay. All rooms are equipped with DirectTV, and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the house. A selection of board games and puzzles cater to all ages for entertainment.

The bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished with new mattresses and hotel-style Pottery Barn bedding, ensuring a comfortable rest. The master bedroom features a private deck, providing a serene space to appreciate the stunning mountain views.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the ranch's multi-level front porch, an observation tower with panoramic views of the valley and mountains, and direct access to the Arapaho National Forest. The property offers various outdoor amenities such as a basketball, badminton area, horseshoe pit, yard toss, and two holes for frisbee golf. As the day draws to a close, gather around the fire pit (pending fire restrictions) for a perfect evening under the stars.

Fishing enthusiasts can explore a variety of local rivers, lakes, streams, and ponds. Families with infants are provided with two cribs and a cot.

NOTE:
Live-in caretaker maintain the property. Residing in a separate apartment with a private entrance, they ensure 24/7 assistance, should it be required.

To guarantee the safety and security of our guests, three outdoor security cameras are installed on the premises. In alignment with VRBO's guidelines, all surveillance data is deleted when no longer necessary.

Please note that Blue Family Ranch is a non-smoking property and pets are not permitted. Guests must have their own transportation. Check-in time is 4:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out time is 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Experience the charm of the Rocky Mountains with us.

Spacious and Quiet

This house was a perfect fit for our group of 10 guys on a ski weekend. The living area is spacious with large couches. The porch is large and gets you out into the forest. There were 3 large rooms with single large beds, one small room with 2 beds, and a large room with 2 large beds and 4 bunk beds. There is a hot tub on the back enclosed porch area - clean and hot. The owner was easy to work with.

Great Family Getaway

Our family of ten (ranging in age from 2 months to 63!) fit perfectly in this homey cabin. We enjoyed the fire, hot tub and games. Our hosts were very responsive and everything was as described. I highly recommend this getaway-- regardless of the season!!

Winter in Fraser

House is nice proximity to Fraser & Winter Park. Easily accessible. We had 3 couples & 2 singles. Property manager is easy to reach with any questions or concerns. Host was easy to communicate with. The only negative is we could not get the heat adjusted properly to a comfortable temperature. We found it to be too hot or too cold . I’m sure it was just our inability to adjust the nest thermostats. All in all it accommodated our needs !

Mardi Gras Getaway from Louisiana

We were 11 people. 8 adults 3 children. We all enjoyed house & area. Places for kids (old & young) enjoyed sliding, building a snowman & experiencing the snow for first timers. Even had a wedding proposal. Great place!

What a fantastic experience.

Fabulous home in perfect location - homely with plenty of room for our family reunion of 12 adults. Very clean, fully stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable with warm, good quality duvets. Owner was very responsive both prior and during our stay - nothing was too much trouble! Would have no hesitation recommending this lovely home.

Fantastic for Families

This was one of our best rental experiences. The house was "as advertised" with abundant room for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The property had numerous activities for the kids to be outside, and the location was very convenient to Frasier and all of its amenities.

Family Gathering

Five grandchildren were completely exhausted by the end of the day. There were so many activities right on the property for adults and children, including the walking trails. They were also a nice "get-away" for those times when quiet times were needed. The location is excellent, as we were able to do three fabulous hikes, all within a twenty minute drive. The Continental Divide Trail allowed us to see three alpine lakes, and we hiked down to King Lake. We were also able to take in an outdoor concert in Winter Park. There were six adults, (eight for a couple of nights) and five children, We would most definitely return.

A Fabulous Family Reunion

The property was more remote than the listing made it appear...something that delighted us (but it was still only 5 minutes from the grocery store). The house was beautiful, but we delighted even more in walking around the woods and visiting the teepee and seeing some deer.

Colorado Christmas

My family of 12 people traveled from Texas by van and stayed in this amazing home for five days between Christmas and New Years. It was our family's Christmas Celebration. The house is beautiful! Enough beds for 14 to sleep on and plenty of couches and seating for us all to gather and eat meals. The kitchen has so many dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and a large coffee maker that brews 14 cups at a time. Every detail has been thought as far as the accommodation in the house!! We had lots of snow while there and the driveway and walkways were kept plowed and shoved during our stay. The house is about a 15 minute drive to Winter Park resort for skiing and a five minute drive to the grocery store. Our family loved the privacy of the property and the proximity to all the winter activities we chose to do. We highly recommend this lovely home and will for sure stay there again on future trips to Fraser, CO area!

Christmas at Blue Ranch

This was a very comfortable , older home that accommodated our family of ten very nicely! It was close to the ski areas as well as tubing and we especially loved the acreage for the kids to play in the snowâŁïžThe property caretaker was great and all of our needs were met cheerfully in a timely manner. I would definitely stay here again with a large group.

Thoughts on Fraser Property

Pros~ always had hot water, Daisy was very personable and unobtrusive, enjoyed deck and games to play, location is close to town, trails are nice, well stocked kitchen, hot tub was nice Cons~ no air conditioning and some rooms did not have windows to outside and were warm, felt like Daisy's kids were watching us in hot tub several times, brick around decorative stove in kitchen area was a hazard...7 out of 11 of us hit a toe on it more than once, 4 AM train whistle, less privacy on grounds then led to believe with pictures (other house nearby and caretaker (and family) lives on the backside of the house Feedback~ Would recommend a garbage disposal, be clear that 2 twin beds are in an alcove with no door, would be sure guests are able to lock up house (we never received a key and were not able to lock doors, when asked about it we were told that it wasn't a concern) *Overall we had a good trip and the house worked for us, but would probably try out a different property next time. Thank you!

Thanksgiving holiday for Nine

Very well equipped kitchen, meal seating was scattered, hot tub looks at parking area of other tenants. Definitely fit our group size, but could use some interior maintenance. Property had great outdoor snowshoeing space for winter.
