Located in Fredericksburg, this historic lovely house offers 2 bedrooms with a king and queen. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and modern amenities like WiFi and AC during your stay. We are located on Pedernales River and have walking trails to River. Enjoy feeding and petting our goats and chickens. Farm fresh eggs, homemade buttermilk syrup and other amenities provided. The house is in a beautiful country setting on several acres with large open spaces and huge oak trees. There is a short (1/3 mile) walk to a trail that takes you along the Pedernales River that is easy to walk. Driving into Fredericksburg for restaurants and shopping is quick, but it is nice to return to this serene setting. The house itself is steeped in history, with mementos of the family settlers and their pioneer life noted throughout. The house was clean and the hosts were very welcoming. It was also fun seeing goats and chickens, which added to the setting. It was hard to leave to head back to my large city. I'm hoping to return as soon as I can get away!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The house was very clean and we loved all the decor and antiques of the heritage of the house! We had such a peaceful, relaxing time there. We never left the grounds. We spent a great deal of our time around the Amazing fire pit they have, just enjoying the fire and the quiet! The Hosts were Fantastic! Very personable and caring! They had farm fresh eggs in the fridge for us along with homemade syrup for pancakes (pancake mix in cupboard). Answered any questions we had and gave us some suggestions of places to visit. We loved the animals too (chickens, goats, duck, and cattle). This is a Phenomenal place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery! You can sit in the screened in porch, sipping coffee while you watch the sunrise and listen to the rooster crow in the morning!! You can sit around the fire pit or on the front porch and watch the sunset! Absolutely beautiful!! We’re definitely planning on visiting again in the future!!

We absolutely loved this home! It had everything we needed and the added breakfast assortment and treats were so sweet. Sharon has done a wonderful job decorating with family heirlooms. We slept great and we enjoyed the dark and quiet farm land. The hot tub was so relaxing. The chickens and goats were so cute. And the walk to the river was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

This is an absolutely adorable little farmhouse! The history behind it is so rich that even someone like me who usually doesn't pay much mind to history had to appreciate it. You can definitely tell the age of the house by the squeaky floors, but it has been tastefully maintained and all the attention has been given to the details - from the farm fresh eggs in the fridge to the little closet of historical artifacts. I wish the king bed was a little more giving, but that's just personal preference. The bathroom is very quaint with a charming shower/tub. The screened in back patio is the perfect place to sit in the mornings and watch the sunrise. There are farm animals near the backyard that love attention (especially the goats!), as well as deer. There's also a lovely trail that will take you to a beautiful lookout point, down by the river, and then winds back around to the house. The host house is next door, and she is very kind and responsive. It is absolutely worth the short drive from downtown, we highly highly recommend!!

Great place to stay

The farmhouse was exactly as advertised and pictured -- quaint, comfortable, beautiful! The land has goats, cows and chickens near the farmhouse. You can also see some deer while driving in our out possibly. Super convenient to town but far enough that you feel the peace and solitude of the country. The host and hostess are incredibly helpful and kind people.

Quiet guesthouse was a perfect country getaway

We loved this quaint and lovingly tended-to guest house outside of Fredericksburg on a working ranch. The house is an homage to the family's ancestors who came from Germany to settle in Texas. Everything was cozy and comfortable and we enjoyed fresh eggs and homemade buttermilk syrup for our breakfast. The sunsets were stunning. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch, and the location near downtown Fredericksburg was convenient. We would stay there again!

House is exactly as listed. Good quality linens/ comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Outside sitting area with fire pit & hot tub is great. House is a good 1/2 mile off of Hwy 16 easy to find/ get to. Loved to be able to interact with the farm animals!

Peaceful and cozy

My family loved this quaint farmhouse full of charm and history! The owners are great and answered our questions quickly and are very kind. My son loved fishing in the river and my daughter enjoyed feeding the goats. We are staying again next year!!! The hot tub was so nice, its just beautiful there...
