The hotel was very close to the airport which is what I was looking for. It’s very very convenient. It was very clean and pillows were ok. The mattress was not to my liking but perhaps some people will find it comfortable. The actual room itself was more like a futuristic prison cell. Nothing wrong with it, it was just kind of plain and barren. It doesn’t bother me, but if you want a homely sort of room this will not live up to your expectations, unless your usual home is a prison.

I stayed here at the airport because all the hotels near the lake were booked. But I found out the staff is great, the property is pristine and both the bus and the train have stops right outside their door. You can get to either end of Friedrichshafen in a few minutes. The next time I come to Friedrichshafen I will stay here

This hotel is within walking distance of Friedrichshafen Airport, especially good for the 6.30am flight to Frankfurt.

Posted Sep. 24, 2019 on HotelsWeary from a very long day of international travel, my son and I were so thrilled to step out of the Friedrichshafen airport and see that the Hotel Ibis was only a quick walk across the parking lot away. The evening desk clerk checked us in quickly, and then he was also our server when we came down to the restaurant for a meal before bed. He was incredibly kind to us, especially in our jet lagged state.
The room was on the small side, but sleep was all we needed, so no problem there. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with many choices. We highly recommend this hotel. The price was reasonable, it felt clean and safe, and my favorite feature: its proximity to the airport.
