The room was lovely and had a lovely balcony with table and chairs. The building is outdated but that did not affect my holiday.

Hotel and staff very good. Only downside was having a jacket and towel taken after I left them on a subbed by the pool.

Excellent value and location

The staff are so friendly and happy, and provide an excellent service, particularly the restaurant and bar staff. They made a real difference. The girl in charge of fitness activities, Elena, is amazing. It’s a great place to go as a single person as lots of people do, and the holiday can be as sociable as you want it to be. There was everything I wished for: the beach right outside the hotel, lovely warm weather, affordable all-inclusive, interesting guests, and a room with a view. The only downside is the hotel is a bit tired and in need of renovation, but this did not affect my stay in the slightest. Great hotel if you want a mix of people, a laid back feel, and a white linen tablecloth restaurant that doesn’t have a dress code!

Relaxing stay hotel a little tired

The hotel itself is not 4 star. It probably was once upon a time but as it's a quite few years old the rooms are dated, the corridors are tired and there is peeling paint in areas. The beds were awful in my room and lacked comfort being very hard (not firm) On the plus side the food and staff are 4 star. The hotel is very clean, the restaurant is very well manned and the chefs do a fantastic job with the selection and quality of the meals. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and the pool is large enough to have a swim around although it does catch the wind. The beach is at the end of the hotel just note that you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach. The clientele of this hotel is mostly German and a lot of things are geared towards them with German being the primary language so if you prefer an English styled hotel this is not the place for you. There is not a lot to do in Costa Calma outside of the hotels which are all SBH owned and few restaurants or bars as the hotels are all AI. Overall as I was looking for a total relaxation break and this was a exactly what I got.

We can guarantee you a 4* Standard in all aspects of the hotel. We are very sorry that you don’t see it that way. We have our maintenance team which works daily to maintain our 4* standards. They repair minor faults and help our guests whenever they need a hand. We planned to renovate our hotel in the future, but we do not have an exact date yet. We are very sorry that you did not find our beds comfortable. Please keep in mind that each and every guest has different sleeping habits therefore it is very difficult to fulfil the expectations. We want that our guests sleep well and so we offer soft blankets or special pads that can be placed under the sheets. Near of our hotel (just 3 min walk) you can enjoy bars, restaurants and shopping centre. Furthermore on Sundays and Wednesday Costa Calma offers a local market which is also located near of the hotel. The bus stops are just a short walk (2-3min) from the hotel and connect to Jandia (15min). There you find a wide range of bars, restaurants, shops. Thank you for your praise for our food. The variety and quality of our food is very important to us and our chefs prepare everything freshly on a daily basis. Furthermore we have themed night such as a Spanish night. Concerning the prices for the beach loungers we would like to mention that this is a public beach, which is regulated by law in Spain. The loungers and sunshades are operated by an independent company and therefore are charged. Nice hotel close to beach.

Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Definitely the condition of the hotel needs to be improved. Hotel needs refurbishment. The smell in the bathroom was horrible...

Relax in the sunshine.

all inclusive 4 day break in the sunshine, Ideal for a stress free sojourn, but everything is calculated on a fine budget, do not expect the finest food or the best spirits. Pool area and beach pleasant.

Close to the beach; needs new painting and new car

FIRTST CLASS FOOD

The food was at all meals was first class. The hotel is a wee bit run down but very clean and the staff where all very good. I had a relaxing time and would stay again.

perfectly wonderful hotel

brilliant hotel accommodates for all people and abilities wonderfully relaxing while also havi g areas for entertainment for all ages needs and wants all staff especially entertainment staff 100% effort happiness and showed enjoyment in there jobs, food is varied excellence in presentation and waiting staff all 100% helpful tidy and work so hard really nice to see manaver of restaurant and director of hotel greeting us as we enter each day no faults with anything at the hotel cant wait to return,

Very basic hotel it's an hours journey from the airport the food is also very basic chips and pizza are on the menu everyday and there is nothing to do in the immediate area outside of the hotel,. .......................
