Great Getaway

We had a great stay. The house was clean and had space for us to spread out. Our only issues were that we got stuck in the driveway due to the snow and weather, and that the smoke detectors were on low battery the entire time We understand they can’t control the weather, but maybe keep in mind for future to check the batteries

Southridge Retreat

This was my fourth stay in the Galena Territories and the 3rd home I've rented. We chose this house based on ensuites, the hot tub, and the game room.The main floor layout was perfect for our group of 8. We were able to spread out, play games at the dining table, and prepare meals all together. The beds were firm and the bedding was great for both hot and cold weather.The kitchen pans were less than to be desired as previous renters had destroyed them by using metal utensils. There was no baking sheet, so I got creative with the wings I was baking and used muffin and pie tins. The rest of the kitchen was stocked well and made meals a breeze.The hot tub was a great retreat in the evenings after walking around downtown Galena. The extra towels were nice to have too!The game room was where things fell short for us. The pool table was pretty destroyed with tons of nicks in the table and there was no pool chalk. Out of 12 darts for the dart board only 1 had an actual tip. The host was amazing at trying to get us darts, but that never came to be for various reasons.All in all I would stay here again. Prior to this review I did reach out with these issues, so hopefully any future renters won't have the same issues we did.The location is near walking paths which was a huge bonus. The ability to utilize the clubhouse is also great! The territories are a gorgeous area and a short drive to downtown.

Fun home

It is a beautiful home, as described. Plenty of room for family, friends and fun! Hot tub was perfectly clean and worked well. The heat was not working when we got there, but I reached out to the host, and within an hour a guy was there to fix it and within 2 hours heat was back on. The fireplace worked well in the meantime. There was one toilet that wasn't working, but there were so many bathrooms it wasn't a problem. I reached out to the host several times in every way that I could to ask for late check out, but never heard back from anyone. There is a waterfall 3 minutes away, the spa was also 3 minutes away and fantastic, and we also ate at the restaurant at the eagle ridge resort, only about 5 minutes away. House is about 15 minutes from downtown. No crazy cleaning instructions either. I would go certainly go back.

Wonderful stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and tidy upon arrival. The floor plan was open and spacious. We had a great time playing darts and pool. We loved the assortment of puzzles, board games and books! The hot tub worked perfectly. The host was very responsive to our questions and that made for a stress free visit!

A great long weekend!!

This house had everything we needed and then some. our family of 6 plus our dog enjoyed the house. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was icing on the cake. The house is large and spacious, hot tub worked great, pool table and dart board were a big hit! Given it was the off season the golf course near by was nice for walking and there is a hiking path from the house around the neighborhood. Only about a 10 minute drive into downtown Galena. The "Owner's Club" was an nice add as we did use the pool and the small basketball court. The club is about a 5-10min drive from the house. Hani the owner was very gracious and communicated well throughout the stay!

Perfect for families

We travel to Galena annually with family friends and love to explore new properties. This property did not disappoint!! Upon arrival, the house was immaculate and the check in process was easy peasy. Our host was very communicative and the expectations were clearly laid out for us. There were games and puzzles for the kids to use. The house is close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy nature. We all had a fabulous time. Bookmarking this property for future visits!
