Beachfront luxury loft - overlooking Babe's beach Dawn-Bldg 10

Spacious airy loft/condo with a dramatic ocean view from the entire unit. Let the waves lullaby you to sleep, or just enjoy sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean and sip on morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The condo is located on the third floor of a recently renovated section of the building, which is part of the fully gated oceanfront community, 'The Dawn Galveston Beach Condominiums'. This condo offers a very unique floor plan, which is rare to find (there are only 16 similar units at the Dawn) and offers an unobstructed ocean view. Condo is very spacious (911 sq ft and 76 sf ft of balcony). Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, toaster, cookware and dinnerware. A spacious dining area offers seating for 4 people, but two additional chairs can be brought in from the balcony. The master bedroom is connected with its own entrance to the full bathroom, and includes a TV with DVD player as well as a spacious walk-in closet. The second bedroom is located in the loft area and it overlooks the living room and shares the ocean view. Both bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds with high quality linen. Additional sleeping is available in the living room, where the sleeper sofa can be unfolded into a queen size bed. Overall, the condo is tastefully furnished and offers all you might need during your stay. There is a full size washer and dryer in the condo and large pack n play for your little one.
Complex is gated with additional pedestrian access from the Seawall. It is well maintained with a tropical feeling and offers two pools, hot tub, ocean front gym and picnic area. The entire complex offers an abundance of unassigned parking.
The condo is located in close proximity to many Galveston attractions, like Moody Gardens, several Fishing piers, Schlitterbahn Water Park, The Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens Golf Course, The Historic district with The Strand shopping area, Post Office Gallery strip, a variety of dinning and shopping opportunities and of course beaches, beaches, and beaches...
Note: There is no elevator access to the condo. The loft bedroom does not have an additional closet, but does include a dresser.

If your dates are booked or would you like to have more choices, please visit my other property in Dawn complex (vrbo#723070). It is recently remodeled and refurnished gorgeous 1 bedroom 1 bathroom condo overlooking pool and gulf.

I would say the cleanliness was a small issue! In the main bedroom eyelashes from a previous stay were near a jewelry box. We might not have been able to work the lock, but that was a minimal issue that the owner fixed. I didn’t think it was awful just a little more dated than expected especially for the cost the owner was amazing, but the house keeper we were told to reach out to was in helpful and to be honest it’s a beautiful place inside, outside not so much and depending on your price when renting it may or not be worth it. The king size bed was not super comfortable and I was asked to wash linen but no laundry soap so that raised major flags. I wouldn’t say it was horrible, but I personally would not rent out again for the price I paid.

This condo has a fantastic shower head with a warm, enveloping spray, plenty of shampoo, conditioner, soap, and trash bags, and a pleasant view from the patio and bedroom window. However, the place is a filthy, dilapidated mess. The floors are so grimy they’ll turn your socks or feet brown, and a used nipple pastie found stuck to the shower wall suggests it hasn’t been properly cleaned in ages. Moldy ceilings, peeling door frames, rotten wood, and rusty nails protruding from warped baseboards and patio surfaces create a hazardous environment. The listing photos, clearly outdated, misrepresent the condo’s dire condition. A particularly aggressive pigeon and its babies have claimed the patio, covering it in droppings and making it unusable
think Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. The “second bedroom” is a loft accessible only by a rickety spiral staircase, offering no privacy or safety, rendering the seven-person capacity claim absurd. Warped floorboards and exposed nails pose constant tripping risks, making it unsuitable for children or elderly guests. While the complex offers nice pools and a convenient location near the seawall, Walmart, Kroger, and restaurants, the pervasive filth, aggressive bird, and overall disrepair make this overpriced condo a massive letdown. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

We loved the pillows and bed in the master. House was plenty furnished. Great view of the street and beach. Away from the fuss of Galveston so it was quiet. Excellent communication with the owner. Would stay here again.

Good stay. Convenient location.

Overall good. Some cleanliness issues - good not great. AC worked great. Third floor requires climbing two sets of stairs. Not bad if only coming/going once or twice a day. More than that makes them a bear. Only 1 of 2 pools has a working hot tub and unable to use that one as others let their young kids take it over.

Very Comfortable

The condo itself was great. The bed in the main bedroom was really comfortable. The host let us know when it was ready for checkin since we were getting to town early. Everything in the condo seemed fresh and modern. The listing does mention a 40 parking fee that I missed and got surprised by, but that was on me for not reading everything. The pool closest to the condo has a heated hot tub, the pools were chilly (in March, so to be expected from non-heated pools). View from the condo was straight out to the ocean so you can watch the waves.

Pool not heated, dirty and tired unit

First of all the pool is not heated I guess there’s maintenance going on but we were looking forward to swimming and that is why we picked this place. Second it’s tired 
.. pictures don’t reflect an accurate description. The kitchen was dirty trash still in the garage, mold under the sink. The dish washers top rack had fallen off and the soap was still in the door but there was no dishes so I’m guessing the dishes in the cupboards hadn’t been washed properly. The balcony is old requires new paint. It’s not a place that you would like to sit, chairs were rusty and anything included to bring to the beach. Looks like it was ready to fall apart. We were unsatisfied with this location and communication with the property manager she said that she would give us a full refund, but we needed to vacate immediately.. which would’ve been fine, but we just sat down for supper ( at a restaurant) after a very long flight and drive. I explained to this to her and she was quite rude telling me I was taking advantage of her. My family and I quickly finish supper picked up our suitcases and left the property. She did give me a full refund, but I do not recommend this unit. It was a hassle. We ended up staying at Moody Gardens, which was absolutely phenomenal with a clean room and great pool, friendly staff.

Nice interior, nice location, nice management but everything are old! Need to fix or to change many things and my recommendation to check your landscaping (we found a lot black hair at the condo)!

Great place & reasonably priced!

Great location - right across the street from the beach! The condo was very nice and clean. The hostess was very responsive to my questions. The price was comparable to the hotels on the beach, but much nicer & roomier. We highly recommend this property and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again (but longer next time).

Not bad but rough around edges

Location was great, check in was great, view of the ocean was great. Not going to repeat comments from the good reviews - we did enjoy our stay. Owner was also very responsive. However, a few things detracted from the experience. 1. The place was really humid so they had a portable dehumidifier at the place. It filled with water every 6 hours and had to be poured out. The machine was moldy and it woke us up each night in the middle of the night when it stopped running because it was full. Also, if it stopped running while we were away, the place was really humid when we got back. 2. The sheets were clean on the loft bed, but there were stains on them. No way around it
 that’s not great. 3. The place was dated. The owner did a good job updating it with some nice art and some great decorations, but the place just felt a little tired. For example, there was a soft spot on the floor, the chairs were peeling, and the floor was coming apart in spots. A quick note that there was no bath tub too. It really wasn’t a bad place but I thought these were worth noting.

Birthday getaway

This was a birthday getaway for my oldest granddaughter and youngest daughter, hosted by my wife. The apartment was amazing, with a fantastic location right on the beach. There was a hitch in check-in that was my fault, but other than that, it was great.
