Company managing property is not onsite and terrible. After paying on Vrbo, management company required photo selfie holding Drivers License and Credit Card - never done that with Vrbo or any other rental EVER. I’m sure it is a U.S. Privacy Act violation of some kind but I had already payed the unit fee and Vrbo fee, so I was not sure I would be refunded. You will be charged for everything (early check in, Late check out, etc). Unit was not cleaned on time which delayed check in by 35 minutes. Professional pictures of unit and property are boarder-line misleading. Unit and Lobby are adequately maintained - the rest of property is weathered and aged. Pool was disappointing. Water pressure and linens were below average. Beach towels were a nice touch. Hide-a-bed mattress was not comfortable and unsleep-able for an adult. Unit interior was pretty good but a little dinged up and waterfront view was as good as you could get for a 3-story building. Road noise was very loud and distracted from view - property was on busy intersection.

A Dreamy Beachfront Escape.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a charming beach-view apartment in Galveston, and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment, though small, was cozy and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. The location was fantastic, providing stunning beach views right from the balcony. Waking up to the sight of the ocean and the sound of the waves was truly magical. The beach was just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy the Beach. At the Beach, renting two chairs and one umbrella for $40 was very convenient. The apartment itself was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials. The decor was beachy and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and responsive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Being in such a great location also meant easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We loved exploring the area and taking in all that Galveston has to offer. Overall, this beach-view apartment provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable and relaxing stay in Galveston. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beachfront escape. I will be back!

Enjoyed our stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Casa Del Mar. This place has one of the best views there and is right in the heart of the action. It’s right on the corner of the main road to the seawall so lots of traffic and it can be a little noisy but you have great views and everything is within walking distance or a short drive away. Everything was as pictured which is great! It’s a little small but the listing tells you exactly how big it is so there are no surprises. Who is really spending a ton of time in the room when you are by the beach?! Lots to do in and around Galveston. With all of that said, I’d stay here again.

First time renters and would do it again

Such a great property! My 3 year old daughter had a blast enjoying her first trip to the ocean/beach which was easily accessible. The property had everything we could have asked for and more. The host was so very helpful and responsive when I couldn't get the TV in the bunk beds to work which my daughter was so excited about. We will be back!

Casa Del Mar condo

The condo was just right for two adults. We’d not been to Galveston before so took a guess at the location. It was across the street from the beach (so a great view), but was super loud because Seawall Blvd is the major thoroughfare. This would be great for some who want easy access to the beach (since it’s at a crosswalk), but we were looking for a little more quiet. Lesson learned. But again the room itself was great, the building and parking lot were clean, and the pool was lovely.

Great getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our three night stay. We enjoyed the ease of being steps away from the beach, and the sunrise was incredible from the balcony. Although small, it was perfect for the two of us. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

2nd time staying here - great location across from seawall, convenient parking , pools for kids , games and plenty of space for family and comfortable sleeping. Everything available in kitchen to save money cooking vs eating out.

Great location, but small

Pretty great location for us. We love fishing everyday so being right across from the pier was perfect. Also very close to some fast food places and the gas station. Only a few things that botheres us, it was just too small. Not what we are used to, we like to cook so we brought alot of groceries that almost didnt fit into the small "personal" sized fridge/freezer. We made it work. The kitchen is pretty much apart of the living room. Not alot of room for more then 1 person to be in the 3x3 kitchen area. We did find a clipped toe nail in blanet on the couch. That was icky. The alarms kept going off. First night the alarm in the room went off at 6am, i turned it off. The second/third night the alarm on the black extension cord/noise machine thing went off and we turned it off but didnt know how to turn it off or disarm it so its going to keep going off and waking up guests. The alarm to the fridge and freezer also went off and woke me up at 4am. Theres a sign by the fridge that says this might happen if the door is ajar but it was not. We couldnt figure out why it went off in the middle of the night when both doors were close tight and not in Sabbath mode. Also the freezer freezes shut and when u tug it open, u have to tug very hard, when it opens ice that collects on the bottom drops to the floor and melts. We ended up putting a towel under the freezer to catch all the ice everytime we opened the freezer. Also the neighbors blaring music all night made it hard to sleep.

Cute Place in a good location

We had a great stay here! It is small but perfect for my husband and I. It's in a good location to most everything just on the corner of 61st street it was a little hard to get out of with traffic. But overall super cute and clean place and we would definitely stay here again.
