Charming Loft with Balcony in Downtown Galveston

Welcome to Market Street Loft C, a delightful vintage gem with lofted ceilings, loads of natural light, and a beautifully renovated kitchen. The bedroom features a king size bed and twin/twin bunk bed. A second twin/twin bunk bed is nestled off the main living space. Enjoy al fresco dining on the large balcony overlooking downtown. Whether you’re looking to spend time on The Strand, the beach, or a quick overnight before a cruise departure, this loft is the perfect home base for your trip.

Location: Historic Downtown area of Galveston, Texas, half mile from cruise ship terminal.

This is a historic building with early 20th century building materials and single-pane windows. Noise may be present.

Beach Access: Less than a 5 minute drive to the beaches at the Seawall.

WINTER TEXAN RATE: If you’re trying to escape to the Gulf Coast for the winter. Please ask us about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

Rent BeachBox: Looking for beach gear for your Galveston getaway? We have you covered! Beach chairs and tents can be ready at the loft upon your arrival. Message us for details and rates.

Pest Control: Due to the coastal environment, mosquitoes & seasonal pests may be present. Professional pest control treatments are performed monthly.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet Policy: One pet is welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Parking: Free and paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

Step inside this airy one-bedroom, one-bathroom loft and you'll find a large, open living space where light pours in through the abundant windows. This inviting space seamlessly combines the living room, dining area, and kitchen, creating a welcoming atmosphere perfect for relaxing together or sharing a meal.

The main bedroom is nestled within this open space, featuring a luxurious king-sized bed and a fun twin bunk bed.. The modern bathroom is just off the main area, ensuring both convenience and privacy. The living room is perfect for lounging, with a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV for catching up on your favorite shows. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen or gather around the dining table for a cozy meal together.

Market Street Loft C is ideally located in the heart of downtown Galveston, just a short walk from The Strand, where you'll find an array of unique shops, restaurants, and lively nightlife spots. It's also conveniently close to the Cruise Terminal, making it a great option for a pre- or post-cruise stay. And if you're longing for the beach, it's just a short drive away.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 4 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- There is paid parking directly in front of the building. To the side of the building is free street parking when spots are available.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Thank you for providing a pleasant stay at your beautiful loft. The location and layout were both gorgeous, and the main bed and pillows were very comfortable, which made for an excellent night's sleep. The following suggestions could enhance stays and improve safety for future guests:Accessibility: A disclaimer in the rental information noting that the location is not wheelchair or handicap accessible could be helpful.Amenities: Consider adding a small table in the living room, such as a coffee table or an end table. Installing a shower caddy would also be helpful for holding shower accessories.Safety: Some floorboards are loose, which could be a tripping hazard. Addressing these issues would benefit the safety of future guests. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

My stay at this property was amazing. As the description notes "charming" is spot on. Very comfortable king size bed, open floor plan, great view of sunrise and sunset from the balcony, nice appliances, nice furniture. The host was very quick to respond to any questions i had. What a great place! The loft is a beautiful space in a perfect location. So much to do all around there easy to find a place to park. The loft itself is beautiful and open and airy with lots of sunlight. The bed was super comfortable and it had great amenities. The outdoor porch was a big plus. I would definitely stay here again. The host was also great. I got responses to my questions in a very timely fashion. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at the Beach Box location was very accessible to restaurants, stores, shopping centers, and the Seawall Beaches. It was spacious and clean. This location has stairs which gave us all a work-out in itself. The only issue we had was with the dryer. It was non-working the first 3 days, and we had to travel to do laundry. Once reported, the staff replaced it before we left. All and all, I would book here again.

Charming place!

This loft was so lovely! I picked this place specifically for the balcony. It had a cute porch swing which I definitely made use of since the weather was really nice. Really loved the sky light and all the natural light that floods this place. The bed was very big and comfortable! Everything looked up to date while maintaining the distressful look of the old historical building. We had a fun overnight trip. This place is walking distance from the strand and historical red light district. So there were lots of food options and places to shop. I would definitely come back!

The title says it all. This place is a gem with everything you could possibly need for a getaway on the island. Walking distance to the strand, close driving to the beach and the seawall. Easy check in, beautiful, clean unit and a private balcony.

Everything went smoothly and was a great stay. Just a couple of things I wish are a couple of extra blankets and pillows. Another thing is the bathroom has mold around the shower and might need some remodeling. Otherwise, everything was great and quiet! Plus it's a nice area to stay.
