Everything worked out great! The property is perfect for a big group. The location to the beach is perfect. It's far enough out of the main drag that it's less busy but close enough to hop into town to grab whatever you need. Communication with the management was super responsive and helpful as well.

Terrible beds, poor prep, no accountability.

We had problems with 3 of the beds. Master-uncomfortable, loud, sinks towards middle and hair on sheets. Major stiff neck in morning. 2nd Bedroom full bed was uncomfortable, loud and hard. 3rd Bedroom (2 bunks)-Bottom double bunk broken support rails. TV in main room didn't work. Batteries in one of the remotes didn’t work. When I called about it, I was told to search all drawers, cabinets and closets. I spent a half hour looking for batteries and never found any. Fridge door shelf was loose. 3 outlets in the kitchen didn't work. Remotes were all sticky. Walls have unknown substances stuck to them in various areas. They need to be cleaned. Master shower not a good experience. Needs a new shower head. Water pressure was a lot lower than the guest shower. Also, rock floor was super uncomfortable. Nobody used that shower after my first attempt. Guest Toilet button jammed into down position. Vertical railing slat on the first landing of the stairway is loose at the bottom. Living room fan/light didn't work. Overall, I paid full price for a property that was 50% ready, so I’d l like a 50% refund. Contacted Vacasa almost weekly since check out. They apologized, blamed local staff and haven’t compensated. Bad customer service. Don’t stay here.

Not what we expected

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your property . Great location . First off the AC did not work , everyone burnt up each evening, which made it very uncomfortable to get any sleep There were several outlets that would not work specifically in the kitchen and next to beds . Which was a huge inconvenience for everyone . The accordion door in front of washer and dryer were broken when we arrived and we couldn’t start the dishwasher . Just a recommendation for your next guest it sure would have been nice to sit in rocking chairs in the deck and enjoy the view . And amost houses we’ve stayed in keep past guest condiments around which is super helpful . Alson you should buy new mattress for the beds or add mattress pads to them they are awful .. We all have cricks in our necks . Thanks again. ,

We keep going back

Yes, it has old furniture and hasn't changed inside in the past 8 years we've been going there. But, that's ok. We know what to expect and we love it. My dog loves it. Short walk to the beach. Food is nearby. We love the Seahorse Grill. We'll make the long drive to go to Mario's on Seawall too. I would recommend putting a sheet over the couches and the reclining chairs. They are pretty nasty

It's close to the beach

The beach house is close to the beach (5 – 10 minute’s walk). The place is alright. The following area I notice that needs improvement. It’s an easy fix (Number 1 & 2). Number 3, it could be that the filter might be dirty. 1. The doorknob close to the stairways. The bolts are loose. I had a use a Philip screwdriver to tighten the bolts. 2. The A/C filter is dirty. It looks like it’s never been changed. 3. The 2 refrigerators are not cold enough for my catering trays and drinks. One of my foods got spoiled. 4. The couch is dirty. Those are the 4 area I notice it could improve. Everything was fine.

House was perfect for the weekend. Close to the beach.

Great weekend getaway with the girls. House in great condition. I would recommend to rent a golf cart if planning to go to the beach and have people or things to transport, though you can also drive your own vehicle on the beach. Beds were a bit stiff, but comfortable. The only thing missing was oven mitts! Overall a great house and great location!

Looking worn out

Almost non kitchens supplies, unconfortable mattress in main bedroom, bad shower power and also uncomfortable floor in the shower. Non plus beach articles vs other houses. / the neigborhood is “in maintenannce” and bad conditions.

The beach house was dirty , hated to even sit on the furniture, it was very dirty , rug was horrible,, will never rent this house again , the house also had the worse smell , we had to go buy Lysol .

Family vacation

The place was clean and within walking distance of the beach. The house was cleaned but outdated. The management did not provide dish soap or sponges. They left only a few toilet papers, so be prepared to include all those items on your grocery list prior to coming to this place. The standing fans were broken. There was also a significant crack in the tub of the hallway bathroom. There were two refrigerators. The freezer in the main one was broken so our ice cream melted. I called the management company to report this issue. They told me that they were sending someone on the same day, but no one came. We ended up using the small refrigerator freezer. Overall, I was unimpressed by the management company and the status of the home.

Reasonable place for the money.

The good - location, some ocean view from the balcony, near seawall, The not so good - cleanliness is average throughout and below average in the kitchen - food residue in countertops, griddle and pans. Small cockroaches in kitchen (they’re common in Galveston). Dirty fans. Refrigerator freezer doesnt close (they have provided a second refrigerator for this reason). The beds in the main bedrooms as well as the sofa in the living room are really old and springs are worn out. For the price I paid it was reasonable but not very good.

Great location!

Location was perfect! Short walk to the beach. The house layout was perfect for the six of us. House had Roaches everywhere and we were not informed that this was known before our stay (I even contacted Vacasa personally before arriving about availability). I don’t do well with bugs crawling around everywhere you turn. We were credited the cleaning fee of $100 for the roach issue, but it almost doesn’t seem to be enough. As I’m home unpacking and have found two live roaches in my bags I brought home. I’m going to now have to hire additional exterminating in my home. The house was truly amazing otherwise and very well stocked with linens. The beds need to be upgraded. They are very very noisy and can be heard throughout the whole house when getting in and out of them. Pots and pans were sketchy (glad we took our own). Smoke detector went off in the middle of the night twice... randomly. Scared the kids and worried us as parents not knowing if there was carbon monoxide in the house. 28 wooden steps up to the deck to access the house! Great workout! Truly loved the view of the beach from the balcony. It’s a public beach access to the right and was very chaotic with police activity throughout our whole stay (Spring Break). If you went to the beach on the left it was very peaceful without the chaos. Overall if the beds were replaced and the bugs were gone... PERFECT “paradise at last”. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.
