Great view; friendly staff; very clean. Only complaint would be only 1 very slow elevator for the entire hotel. Also the one night we were tired and were going to eat in the restaurant at the hotel they closed early without notice leaving us to scramble outside the hotel for food with a very tired toddler. Overall we had a very fun vacation.

Our family had a great time in Galveston. Our stay with Double Tree was very enjoyable. We loved the pool with the bar. The rooms were clean. The air-conditioning unit leaked water into the room. Maintenance did work on it quickly. The beach was clean, but you have to walk across the highway to get to the beach.
