Historic Loft in the Heart of Downtown

Welcome to League Lofts 201– a stylish and spacious two bedroom loft just steps from all the hot spots in downtown Galveston. The primary bedroom features a king size bed and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. Combined with the full sleeper sofa in the living room, this unit comfortably sleeps up to 5 people. Whether you’re looking to spend time on The Strand, the beach, or a quick overnight before a cruise departure, this loft is the perfect home base for your trip. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR IN THIS BUILDING. IT IS ALL ONLY STAIRS!

● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

● Location: Historic Downtown area of Galveston, Texas, half mile from cruise ship terminal. This is a historic building with early 20th century building materials and single-pane windows. Noise may be present.

● Beach Access: Less than a 4 minute drive from the beaches at the Seawall.

● Rent BeachBox: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.

● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.

● Pet Policy: 1 pet is allowed with a $25 fee per pet. Please keep pets off furniture, clean up after them outside, and crate them if left alone indoors.

● Parking: Paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

● Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Paid street parking only.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Very clean and great location. Kitchen was fully stocked and had coffee (Thank You, needed the coffee). The only odd thing was the bathroom as it was off the master bedroom and as a little challenging for other guest to use at night. Overall great place, secure and safe.

We had an overall great stay. Pretty clean and nice appliances. In a nice walkable area close to restaurants and shops. The only complaints I have are regarding the noise. The walls, ceilings, and floors are incredibly thin so it’s easy to hear others within the unit and building. Secondly, the listing wasn’t clear that the third bed is just a sofa with the back laid flat. Lastly, I wish the building was a bit more accessible. Having a ramp or elevator would have been great. Other than that, it was a nice experience and I wouldn’t mind booking again :)

It was not the most Pleasant stay. We did not have hot water in bathroom the last two days and finally had some in sink this morning when we left. I’m not sure what the deal was. Maybe hot water ran out with others there?! Pilot light out?! Not sure. I was in contact with company and was told maintenance came out and we just needed to let water run. Not the case. Tried to explain that but no one came back out. We let it run and did not heat up. The place lacked cleanliness as well. The couch and rugs were stained. Not swept good and cockroach dead in floor. The stair climb was exhausting especially for my disabled vet. Wasn’t aware the elevator was not able to be used. So I’d say the bad overweighed the good at this particular place. It was my partners birthday so we tried to stay positive and laugh it off but it was quite disappointing!!!!

Unfortunately, the condition of the unit was far below acceptable standards, and we believe a partial refund is warranted.To summarize:‱The couches were heavily stained and soiled.‱Rugs were visibly dirty and appeared not to have been cleaned in quite some time.‱White towels were yellowed and looked unsanitary.‱Several exposed nails in the hardwood floors caused injuries to our feet.‱The floors were dusty and filthy throughout the space.‱The toilet chain was broken and required constant manual adjustments.‱Most concerning, the front door to the building did not lock, presenting a clear safety hazard.We have photos documenting all of the above issues. This property was advertised at a standard of quality and safety that was clearly not met.I’m requesting that a portion of the rental fee be refunded due to the unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

LOVE this building & location! Very clean & mostly perfect for what we needed. Kitchen is amazing & very well stocked with amenities. Beds super comfortable!However, a few downsides that we weren’t expecting: the one bathroom is within one of the bedrooms, so guests not sleeping in that room had to come through it during the night. The loft also claims to sleep 5 but there was zero bedding provided for the sleeper sofa, so we had to purchase our own. Lastly, the toilet chain/float mechanism had multiple issues throughout our stay.All in all, we had a great trip & I trust that the very communicative landlords will address some of these negatives moving forward

Perfect stay on the Strand.

A beautiful combination of classic Strand District architecture with modern amenities. Easy walk to shops, dining and entertainment. Great hosts. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Great location in the middle of downtown Galveston. We were able to walk to anywhere in downtown within about 5-10 minutes. Close drive to the beach and other attractions in town. The apartment was just the right size for a family of 3 to relax in after a day out. Would recommend!

Area and buildings are beautiful but never thought about being an old building the noise factor! You can not walk across the floor without making noise so unfortunately you hear every movement if someone is above you as well as in the hallway and stairs even with sound machines. We had someone above us that was up until 3 am so no sleep!

Stayin to Cruise

The stay was a comfortable one. Clean is a MUST & it was. We loved the fact that our family was down the hall so it was convenient. Also, we love history & it’s evident the building has it. Although some might not appreciate the old wooden floors, we thought it was great! The ONLY issue was the red light from the hallway shines through the glass panes even when you shut the front bedroom door. Would return in a heartbeat! Side note
 great pizza place around the corner. Inexpensive & yummy!
