You don't get what you pay for!!

The worst part about this stay was the elevator. Myself, my and three kids had to use the stairs everyday because there is only one elevator in use at this hotel. This was not a cheap stay. I could have paid less and had better amenities. Was not impressed and felt like we waisted money.

Only one elevator was working so often would wait 10 minutes on the elevator. Super slow. We were on the fifth floor so sometimes stairs weren’t really an option…especially with children.

There are several repairs that need to be addressed 1 window blind doesn’t work 2 door to balcony sticks at top left and needs repaired. 3 a/c needs some work our room was very warm after noon had to go buy a fan bc hotel doesn’t offer complimentary fans. 4. Was there 5 days had to request room service and go down to get clean towels.

Misunderstanding but Still #1 Choice of Hotel

This is the only hotel I stay in when in Galveston, whether for cruises or just a family getaway. This was the only time I encountered a problem. I booked my stay for 2 nights. We had trouble getting there the first night but when I looked on property details, it said you could check in late and didn’t state a cutoff time or say you had to contact the property if you were going to check in late. We got there super early the next morning and they canceled my entire reservation. They didn’t call. Didn’t email. Just canceled. They got me another room. Wasn’t a balcony like previously booked. They had some available but we’re going to charge me a lot more than I had reservations for. The manager didn’t deliver the message kindly at all but I stayed calm, I was exhausted, love the rooms, and really needed one. They booked me a room and let me check in early (that morning). I didn’t have to wait till 4pm which I greatly appreciated after a long night of traveling with kids. It was all a misunderstanding and we still got to enjoy a nice, clean, comfy room and good trip. Management could have been kinder with how she delivered the message though. We will still always only stay here. We love it too much!

Checking in was a breeze. All staff was welcoming and friendly. One of the two elevators was down, but it wasn't an issue. Our room was nice and clean. The location is perfect, right across the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was awesome, there was plenty of options to choose from and anytime something would run out the staff was quick to refill it. I will definitely be staying again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
