Great quick getaway stay at the TRU by Hilton in Galveston Texas. The room and hotel are very clean. Nice complementary breakfast with great options and even cater to your pets. The staff were very friendly at every interaction. The only down part was the bed. Old and squeaky. Very uncomfortable for a 2 night stay.

I paid for two nights, but only stayed one in the king-size room. We had a bad night because the mattress was too hard and the pillows were worn and uncomfortable (at least everything was clean). The air conditioner (which was inside, under the window) was very noisy and didn't let us sleep well. We didn't like the breakfast because the egg they offered wasn't a real egg and therefore didn't taste good, and the same thing happened with the hamburger. Unfortunately, the only advantage of this hotel is its beachfront location, since for less money I've stayed in better hotels or Airbnbs with more amenities, options, and breakfasts. As a final note, I was struck by the lack of friendliness and indifference of the young woman who checked us in at reception, who didn't even bother to ask why we left before the checkout date. (Very little attention from her for a service we paid for.)

Faculty was clean and staff was responsive. At check in they changed our room to an ocean view just by asking. The girl at the check in desk was very pleasant and accommodating. Down side our room did not have coffee or microwave not sure if we were supposed but not a big deal for our stay but just thought I would mention it. I would stay again.

Couldn’t get accommodated to the room I wanted, they put me in a room very close to the entrance on the 2nd floor and it was noisy. Though I loved the beach view. The lady in the front, not sure what her name is but I had called yesterday at around 1 PM to ask for an extended late check-out and she was very rude. She didn’t really give me any info, other than I would’ve have to pay an additional night if I were to leave late pass 2 PM and I had to leave at 7 PM. Because of this; I had to leave earlier than estimated due to work purposes and will most likely not get refunded for the time I wasn’t there and the night I didn’t go to sleep which was last night! Probably won’t come back here again, probably will! Who knows!
