The house has some emergency plumbing issues before we arrive and the clean up from it wasn't great but the management was easy to get ahold of and was great about resolving the issues. Even brought our family some chocolate goodies.
The booking of this house was great. When we got to the house there was a trailer parked out front full of rusty stuff. Not very appealing. As we walked up to the front side door it was covered in spider webs & spiders along with the brick wall next to the front side door. Once I removed the cobwebs I could not get in with the code they gave us. We walked around the house to see if there was another lock box we needed to use to get in and noticed the whole back of the house was covered in spider webs and several spiders. Including the swing and chairs they had provided. The back patio had large ants climbing all over it throughout our entire stay. Since we did arrive 30 mins early I decided to call Vacasa. The lady I spoke with said it should work so, we kept trying. About 15 mins after our arrival the code worked. As we walked into the house we noticed it looked pretty clean and maybe it was just the outside of the house that had not been taken care of. The kids took off upstairs to find their room and noticed spiders on the walls. I decided to look through all the rooms after that. There was not one room that did not have spiders in them. We killed so many spiders in the house which upsets me because I do not like killing them. The bathrooms had spiders in them too and there were cobwebs in several rooms. The little kids did not want to stay there. Once we got rid of the spiders we could see we turned on every fan in the house and opened all the windows. The house is super hot. With no A/C and being blocked by trees and houses it was hard to get a breeze throughout the house. We spent most of our time out back even though their were spiders and large ants everywhere because the whole house was pretty warm. We kept finding spiders in the house. It is nothing that a pest control company every 3 months could not fix though. There were several towels (only white towels provided) that had stains on them or were not cleaned very well. The towels also left white fuzz balls all over you after bathing. There was chewed gum on one of the bunk bed stairs that is in the double bunk bed room. There is boogers wiped on the wall in the upstairs family room where the bunk beds are. Our kids did not want to sleep in the beds because of the gum, boogers and spiders. The mirrors were also dirty. The rest of the house was pretty clean other than that. There is a lot of fun stuff for the kids & adults to do at this house and being next to the lake was awesome.
