This is a very dated property. No ceiling fan or AC. Bed not all that comfortable. Didn’t feel very clean. Location is fantastic.

Towels are soft but super thin. Almost absorb no water after showering. Beds need to be replaced!!! Very bouncy and if you sit on the edge of the bed it collapses to the box spring. For the price, 300.00 for one night I expected higher quality and selected the property based on others reviews which I did not agree with at all. We were on the 1st floor and you have to go down 1 and 1/2 flights of stairs. No view of the river which seemed to be a highlight in their online photos. Quite frankly all the hotels in Gardiner are grossly over priced and restaurants almost ALL serve mainly different types of burgers. Wonderland Cafe had the best food. The front desk woman was very friendly and check in was very easy. If we ever go back to Gardiner we would try a different property at a lower price. Poor bed and super thin towels is not acceptable at the price that is charged.

Absoroka Lodge is one of the best places I’ve stayed. The room was spacious and clean. I wish we had booked more nights there. My only complaint is that it was not clear to me that there was no sofa in the “suite” that was supposed to sleep 5. I wasn’t too surprised though as there was conflicting information about this on different booking sites. No rollaway available either. But there was plenty of room, and we had plenty of blankets in the car, so one of my boys made a nest on the floor and we got along just fine. I hope to go to Gardiner again someday and stay at Absaroka Lodge.

Perfect location in Gardiner

This was the perfect location! Walking distance to everything and the view was spectacular. The only downfall was we were on the second floor and it was very warm and the air conditioning was not working great.

We loved the view and sound of the Yellowstone River right outside our door with mountains in the background. Having a mama and baby elk eating and resting there was a wonderful bonus. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. The location was perfect for visiting Yellowstone National Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and some rooms have awesome views!

The draw of being right on the Yellowstone River and close to some fun bars and restaurants as well as the proximity to the north entrance of Yellowstone should guide your decisions. Our room was on the upper floor and we didn’t have a great view of river due to the patio being fully enclosed - avoid #235 is that view is important to you. You had to stand up to see above the patio enclosure.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Loved the view, the room was comfortable and who else would place a 5-gallon bucket filled with window washing solution and a squeegee to clean your car windows . . . Only Absaroka Lodge!!
