Romantic weekends, memorable honeymoons, anniversary celebrations, and solo trips are welcome at Mountain Splendor 1250 inside Chalet Village Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin rental for 2 in the Smoky Mountains offers community access to swimming pools, clubhouses with games, lit tennis courts, and fitness equipment in addition to in-cabin amenities!

View the scenic mountains and treetops from the decks, sipping coffee in the chairs, cooking out with the gas grill, or dining at the table. There are multiple deck spaces to unwind, and there's even a steamy hot tub with massaging jets! You can also sway on the porch swing with a good book or kick up your feet on the loungers.

Inside, prepare a romantic dinner in the fully equipped kitchen that features stainless steel appliances and a beautiful log-style table. Upon arrival it was noticed the cabin was not that clean, all views were obstructed by trees, the bed was broken and the television in the main living area did not work. We were then awoken at 6AM on our first morning to construction directly next door, that continued throughout our stay. We contacted the property manager to see if another unit was available. We were told no other units were vacant and that any type of reimbursement or discount would not be given. The bed was repaired but that was it.

Beautiful cabin high on the mountain. Spent four nights there. Bears were seen every day which was a bit unnerving as they were extremely close. While the main parts of the house were clean, it was evident that a thorough cleaning hadn’t taken place for sometime. Dust and cobwebs were present throughout the cabin. There was an issue of the hot tub overheating that prevented us from using it. Management sent a technician on two occasions to assist. We were shown a way to temporarily bypass the issue until a new part could be installed (after we left). However we were not comfortable with messing with the electrical connections just to use the tub. VRBO did refund us a portion of our rental fee due to this issue which was fair on their part. There was a construction project in process just across the street that was annoying at times as they had to cutoff the electricity on one occasion. Overall, we adjusted to the situation and enjoyed our stay.

Long Weekend

We wanted to take a long weekend before my wife had a medical procedure. The cabin was just as stated and looked incredible. The views were slightly blocked because of trees, but it is still a wonderful location. Saw a bear in the driveway.

Our stay was comfortable and clean with close proximity to the national park as well as the city amenities. The hot tub was a nice relaxing perk afters long day of hiking though not all jets worked. Unfortunately, there is ongoing construction across the street on new builds that obstructed some of the mountain views. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

3rd time we stayed in the cabin. The best view of the mountain is covered by tree tops now. Bed is very squeaky. Bed frame is broken half repaired, looks like it’s going to fall apart any day now. We always loved this cabin it’s very beautiful and cozy. Drive way is horrible but we overlook that for the Mountain View’s it provided. It no longer provides that same view. New bed frame, change out the guest book from two years ago and trim the tree tops from the top balcony and it’s a 5 star again. It’s the little things that count

You gotta like driving up mountains!

When we rented the mountain retreat, it looked wonderful and it is wonderful. However, we did not prepare ourselves for the treacherous drive to the top of the mountain. The roads are very narrow and I will say there’s very few guard rails along the path. The craziest part was getting into the driveway. I can’t say for a certain, but it could be a 60 angle spooky stuff on you’re from Northern Ohio. The only other thing that I would like is, if they put more towels out, they only had enough towels really to help us for the first day with the hot tubs. There should be at least an extra set of towels.Otherwise, it’s definitely a nice place to go. The weather was perfect for us but again you gotta be good with driving and you can’t be too afraid of heights.

This cabin is amazing!!! Me and my boyfriend stayed 6 nights and we had a great time! This was our first vacation together, and the host was very quick with communication and made it so easy for us. The cabin and view was very nice and clean. We couldn’t really get the hot tub to work correctly, but it wasn’t a big deal. The only thing is the driveway is STEEP!!!!! This was my first time driving in the mountains so the driveway was a challenge, but if you are used to the hills it might be nothing.

Relaxing Home

We really enjoyed this home for out 5 night stay. The cabin was very private and relaxing and spacious. The drive way is a little steep but not hard to navigate at all with plenty of room to turn around. There are plenty of outdoor space for coffee and cocktails and just hanging out. We would stay here again for sure. We had to reset the router upon arrival but that was the only problem we had. The thermostat on the hot tub was tricky and may need looked at as well as the timer on the oven. Other than these two minor issue this place was great and we look forward to a return trip.

Clean and Nice but lacking

The condo itself was very beautiful inside and outside. It has a very nice view of Ober Mountain ski slopes.There is some construction going on next to the cabin which can be loud. The showers in both bathrooms have very little water pressure along with the kitchen sink. The read out on the stove is unreadable for the temperature. There was not towels for the upstairs bathroom. The Hot tub was very disappointing. It needs to updated. The temperature for the hot tube would not control the temperature, it would over heat. The jays only worked when they wanted too. There was also holes in the hot tub that water was running out of, so you would have to feel it up with water before getting in it the next time

Great time!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was cozy and while the location was a tad inconvenient at times, it was due to snow and ice on the mountain road, not necessarily location of the cabin
we enjoyed being in a quiet area. We would have liked to grill, but there was no propane tank for the grill, and when we reached out, we were told we had to provide our own propane. It was not a big deal for us, but just a heads up for future tenants. Overall, it was a great cabin and I highly recommend it!

The included amenities were great. The cabin is quite and well insulated. Wonderful view of Ski Mountain. Hot tub was over chlorinated but at least we knew it was clean. Our vacation December 2024

This cabin is way over priced and out of date. To start with there was very loud construction on two new buildings across the street every day we were there including Sunday. The hot tub is way out of date and did not function properly. Could not get the water over 97 degrees. The lights in the hot tub did not work. There was very little to no water pressure during the entire stay. There was no trash cans outside.when the heater in the house was on it sounded like coins in the dryer
 very noisy making it hard to sleep. There were two rolls of toilet paper. Sounds like something minor but at this price point
 no iron for the ironing board lights over the sink in the kitchen were out. Not much light in the kitchen. No blower on the fireplace. We have been staying in Gatlinburg for many years and have stayed in many cabins. This was the most expensive one we rented and was honestly the worst one. Some good news

beautiful but isolating

This cabin is sweet and cozy. Cons: one hand towel and three tiny "bath" towels is inconsiderate as is not even one laundry wash (to refresh towels) provided. Otherwise the cabin is a lovely sanctuary. The road is unenviable and makes going out for dinner an absolute no. Driving up there at night is not a good idea. Loved the view, never used the hot tub, bbq was awesome.
