Four Season Destination

Rent by the week from the middle of May until Labor Day or a two-day minimum from Labor day to the middle of May!

3,400 sq ft – located on the 45th parallel in the center of northern Michigan on 150 feet of the sandy shoreline of the county’s largest “all-sports” lake.

This lakefront, air-conditioned home has four suites, each containing 2 double beds and a full bath, plus 2 connected adjacent bedrooms for extra guests or children. There is free WiFi and cable TV. In total there are 14 beds of various sizes.

A cathedral ceiling great room with a double sided stone fireplace, an enclosed sun porch room and a large open deck overlook a spacious lawn leading to a wonderful, child safe walk-out swimming beach with a dock, paddle boat, row boat, canoe, fire pit and a spectacular sunset.

A public boat launch is 400 yards away


There is also a very large open back lot for extra parking for snowmobiles, lawn games, a basketball short court and more


This is truly a four seasons destination with activities for everyone
!

1. Watersports – 5 mile long Otsego Lake is perfect for all water activities – boating, skiing & swimming
.
2. Fishing - headwaters of 5 renowned trout streams – Black, Pigeon, Sturgeon, Manistee and the Au Sable
Otsego Lake is stocked by the DNR

3. “Golf Mecca” – we are located across the street from Marsh Ridge and Michywe courses and 17 championship courses to challenge you at modest rates are located a short drive away including Tree Tops, The Loon, The ClaSsic and The Gaylord Club.
4. Snowmobiling – miles of groomed trails in all directions right from our cabin for long distance or daily local loops
located on The North Central Trail 4/7 leading to 300 miles of groomed trails.
5. Skiing – cross country or downhill on 150 average annual inches of snowfall – Boyne Mountain, Otsego Club and Treetops near by.
6. Hunting – Thousands of acres of state land nearby hold abundant small game, birds, turkey and Deer

7. Sightseeing – Less than 1 hour drive to Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. Spectacular fall color tours begin here.

When we arrived the electricity was off due to a storm. Tom called the utility company, the owner, and others to try to get generators and agreed to pay for lodgings elsewhere.Fortunately, power got restored and we were able to stay. Plenty of cookware, dishes, even spices in kitchen. House was clean with plenty extra blankets.

This house was perfect for our family! We had two children under 2 with us and there was a really nice space for them to roam around and play with their toys. The view looking out from the house was absolutely gorgeous. Communication with the owner and manager was also really great. They helped make sure we had a great stay. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to take advantage of the water activities, but I wish we could have. We did enjoy just sitting outside and looking at the beautiful lake. We could see the bottom of the lake by the house! We spent a little time in the downtown Gaylord area which was super cute and had great food options! If it was closer to us or we have another occasion in the area, we will definitely return.

Well played out for our large group of 14. Everyone had a bed. Beautiful location. Only small complaint is that there wasn’t enough plates and silverware for 14. We had to go buys some. We will be back.

Full Family Vacation

We had a family group of 7 adults and 7 kids. What a great facility. We had plenty of room, big table for dinner plus picnic tables, fun balcony, plus two extra rooms if you needed quite time. It was super hot and the air conditioning was great. Lake was good for all ages.

Big Vacation

We’ve come every year for a while and this house and property meet our needs: enough beds for our large family, plenty of living space, great yard, beach, and shallow water for the kids! Jerry and Tom are great to work with, too! We’ll be back next year!

Our summer happy place

This is our 2nd stay at this property. Great for our annual family vacation. Grandma and Grandpa were very comfortable with the first floor suite and short and level walk to the lake. The location works excellent for our Shel Haven canoe day and our golf day. Having use of the space across the street for parking and play is a nice bonus.

Great Getaway!

We took several customers on a snowmobile trip and wanted easy access to the trails, an area to grill and a nice place for all of us to stay together. Very pleased with the home and the entire process. Would recommend to anyone, groups big or small!
