We are a US family and visited Hotel GS in July, to break up our stay in Copenhagen. We were unfamiliar with the area and tried to ensure that we were staying in a walkable area, near the beach and with good amenities. We were not disappointed ... The hotel excelled on all counts. It is located on the north coast, near other lovely towns. Just a lovely area, we enjoyed the sunset balcony and the hotel restaurant is really excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating too.

I had the best dinner of my entire trip at the Hotel Gilleleje Strand. The fish was cooked perfectly: moist, flaverfull and accompanied by parsnips and potatoes. All presented beautifully.

Excellent location in town, by harbour/ocean & all shopping. Room was charming, clean, lots of room, nice private deck. Heated floors in bathroom. Our room faced the water/harbour. Had dinner & breakfast in the dining room. Would totally recommend this hotel.

Attractive harbour hotel

Lovely room overlooking the sea, safe storage for our two bicycles, nice breakfast in dining room, great central location.

Good but can improve.

Recommend to get a small fridge in the room and also coffee/tea and a kettle so one can make coffee. Maybe also room service. The television channels are antiquated! I’m sure many foreigners stay there and to not have CNN or BBC News and other channels in English seems inadequate in 2018. We really missed the news in the morning and evening. My wife only speaks English. Except for the above - we really enjoyed outlr stay ! Thank you.
