We booked a wellness room but wouldn’t next time as they allow 5 in the room but there is only seating for 3 unless you all agree to keep swapping out of the sauna. We left after 10 minutes as there were 5 of us in there. When we first checked in the room smelt of sewage but the staff were fantastic and sorted it by the time we got back from being out. Hotel is a great central location and service was very good.

Great breakfast, and the guy that waits at the door for breakfast is very nice and funny. The front desk staff in the evening could be hit or miss but overall a good place to stay.

Clean, tidy and nice decor. Route to rooms was a bit labyrinthine. Staff were friendly and had local knowledge when asked about local eateries. Within easy reach of central station. Overall a good stay.

Clean, comfortable, very quite rooms. Great showers, lovely staff, 5 min walk from Central station. Many many dinning options locally. Spa is tiny, just a sauna, cold plunge and hot beds, there is a gym but I didn't use it. Breakfast was great, hot and cold food, self serve but topped up constantly and staff around all the time.

Nice room, great people. Shinta on the day staff was very accommodating and very kind. The night staff loves John Waters. The breakfast folks were the right kind of curmudgeons. Perfect location for shopping, local and international eats and for museums and siteseeing. A short walk away from the airport bus stop at Queen Station. Trains to Edinburgh run every half hour from the same station. Perfect home base.

We stayed in room 510 and couldn’t get any sleep until after 12.30 due to the noise from the bars in the street outside. I even tried my noise cancelling headphones could block it out. The hotel must have guests complaining about this room every Friday and Saturday and so we were very disappointed that they did not tell us. We managed to get 6 hours sleep in the end but we will never stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. It was only a one night stay and we didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that element. A good location for what we needed.
