Very basic room up steep narrow stairs. Very good shared bathroom. Excellent diner and service. No breakfast except on weekends sfyer September, but a very nice bakery across the road.

We stayed here as it was on a list I had for locations to stay. Easy to get to the Loch Lomond area and a short jump to Stirling or Glasgow. The rooms were clean, the staff were wonderful, and we enjoyed the bar and the conversation with some local folks. Spar just across the street. This is a nice place, and I'd stay here again.

Loved staying in this old pub. Comfortable room, a bit noisy as we were near the back kitchen, but not a real problem. Staff was superb. Bar was excellent. Enough on street parking was available though not always in front of the inn. Lovely town "square" across street.
