Iâll start with the positives. The apartment itself was beautiful. It was furnished beautifully and was exactly how it looked in the photographs. They left a box of chocolates for us. The apartment had all the facilities needed such as a washing machine, dishwasher, oven etc and all rooms had tvs. We found that the apartment was missing some basic essentials and we expected more considering the premium we paid. For example, there was a washing machine but no washing powder. There was an oven but no oven mits. There was no food wrap. I had to buy some basic essentials myself, items we generally have provided in more basic accommodation. The internet was patchy and we found a large cockroach in one of the guest bedrooms.In addition to the above, the entire process to confirm the booking was difficult.We made the booking through stayz and paid the initial fee, shortly after, i received notification that we had to accept new booking terms and conditions on an external site. We accepted them, we then had to verify ourselves on the external platform and provide personal information on the platform, we had to pay an additional 500 security bond. This was all done outside of the stayz platform and made us feel uneasy. We received another communication just before our stay asking to site our driverâs license and credit cards, and requesting other personal information.The apartment was beautiful but it is unlikely we will book again based on our experience.
