Great location, friendly staff and 2 pools to enjoy with onsite parking (at a cost of $25 per night). Rooms could do with an update, especially bathrooms which had mould and malfunctioning toilet flush mechanisms - compared to other summarily priced properties, the rooms feel very dated and run down (but clean).

Central location , easy access to beach & all the local attractions . The staff were so helpful - they made our stay special . Housekeeping was slightly a miss but rest of the facility made up for it . Lovely for young families .

The hotel is great and the staff at the front desk is wonderful we just never got any room service during our two nights stay even though the sign was up for over 6hrs. Easy to walk to the beach and grab some food and go to the markets. We would stay there again.

Staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Room was a great size, bed was comfortable. Air con system and some fixtures are a little dated but didn't take away from the overall experience. View out over the ocean was incredible. Loved the location, was incredibly convenient with a two minute walk to the tram stop that took you everywhere.

This was the best hotel we stayed during our stay in Australia, the location was superb being close to the beach and also very close to the surfers paradise strip. Loved it.

Great location. Room service was excellent. Room itself was very clean but weirdly a cup with odd dirty liquid was left on the bathroom sink when the room was being made up - maybe the cleaner got distracted? Still, a great stay overall.

Nice and but tired room, could do with a paint and head board was a bit dirty. Great comfy bed and great facilities with a choice of two pools and a little gym. Food here was excellent and had great choices for a family. Breakfast was great and worth paying for and great coffee at the ground floor cafe. Excellent service from all staff although our room service left overs sat from early am to past 6pm at night outside our door where we left it and I had to ask that eve for the tray and left over food to be removed. Very central and walking distance to main high street. A few dodgy places to pass on the walk there though like a gentleman’s club but no issues at all. Tram right outside hotel which was super handy. I’m positive this is marked as a 4.5 star hotel on Expedia from memory, if so this is not a 4.5 star hotel but is a great family friendly place to stay on a budget.

My family and i have come to stay at Voco every year since my eldest was 1 year old. There are so many things to love but the best is probably the convience of being located at the tram station and a 3min walk to the beach. The buffet breakfast is amazing, high floor rooms have recently been renovated and staff are so incredibly helpful. My partner loves watching the footy on the big screen in the pub very close to the lobby play area and the two pools so you can always find a sunny spot.

Our family of 4 stayed at Voco for 6 days. The location is within walking distance to surfer paradise or one tram ride away. Location is exceptional, Voco provided underground secure parking. All the staff are friendly. Driving distance to other areas. Some negative point is, 1: no microwave provided, this is an extra cost. This is a first for me. 2: laundry room is closed at 9pm. 3: no incentive to discounted buffet or the available restaurant that sit inside the building. What a same as they could easily negotiated some deal or offering for guest. 4: the games room needed to be uplifted as previous guest has ruined most of the games.

The cleaners are not walking around cleaning inside or outside the hotel. My bathroom had mold in the shower quite obviously. They don't use bleach to clean the bathrooms. The carpets are dirty. The public bathrooms in the lobby are not checked regularly. I had to pick up paper of the floor several times I used it. The restaurant needs some more healthy options on it for diabetics etc.
