About this property

Classic sailing boat from 1979 - Overnight stay on board in Gothenburg

Sleeping on a true Swedish classic, moored in the port of Gothenburg. A V-berth for two, a small galley, string lights, the soft tapping of the halyards—boat life without setting sail. The Swedes call it *bryggsegla*.

It’s a Tur 80—a 26-foot cruising sailboat designed in the late 1960s by Per Brohäll, the same designer behind the legendary Albin Vega. Built in 1979, one of about 300 ever built—and you’re spending the night on one of them.

Not a floating hotel. A real sailboat that has retained its character.

You feel the gentle rocking of the harbour, hear the halyards tapping softly against the mast, and wake up to the sound of water lapping against the hull. The Swedes have a special word for this: bryggsegla—the art of enjoying life on a boat without ever leaving the dock.

If you’re looking for polished teak decks, rain showers, and room service, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you’re looking for the real thing—varnished wood, a cramped berth, the creaking of a living boat—you’ve come to the right place.

On board

You’ll sleep together in the cozy V-berth, made up with fresh sheets, duvets, and pillows. There’s a small galley for morning coffee and simple cooking. There’s a portable toilet on board for the night—for everything else, the marina has clean restrooms and showers just a short minute’s walk away.

Water tank filled, gas cartridge full, lines and fenders in place. You bring your bag—the boat provides the rest.

The Surroundings

The Björlanda Kile marina is located on Hisingen, the large river island north of Gothenburg—quiet, green, and yet easily accessible.

Right at the marina, there’s a simple restaurant with a rotating menu: pizza, Thai food, and more. Everything you need for walks along the rocky coast or a swim in the sea is nearby. Seals are regularly spotted here. If you’re interested, you can fish for mackerel from the pier—tips and rods available upon request.

And who knows—if the weather cooperates and time allows, we might even take you on a short cruise through the archipelago. Just ask.

Getting Here

Take bus line 22 to Björlanda Kile—the harbour is just a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop.
