Just be aware in advance: this is not your typical hotel. The guest rooms are located on top of a restaurant in an old house and the restaurant is currently closed for renovations. You will not see one single staff person the entire time. You get a text before your arrival alerting you to a lockbox that will have your metal key, and in my case, somebody else’s metal key was also in the same lockbox. There are no locked doors to the property, so if you are very vigilant about security, this might not be your favorite choice. The surrounding neighborhood and area was very quaint, quiet, and safe so I really was not worried. There were some quirky things that I thought were strange, such as the closet had no hangers in it so I was unable to hang up my clothes. There was an iron in the closet, but no ironing board on which to iron any of my clothes. there is also no overhead light, the lighting for my room was provided by one bedside lamp. The fixtures and furnishings are definitely not new and modern. The furniture looked like they could have been antiques, and the tub in the bathroom is fiberglass and the tile in the bathroom is linoleum so, basically nothing fancy. That being said, since the area was quiet, and the bed was comfortable, I did get a couple of good nights sleep. And I really was not in my room much because I was busy with things I needed to attend to on my trip. So for the reasonable cost, and the convenient location to Worcester, It did the job for me.

This property needs major updating, furniture replacement, cleaning and repairs.
Was booked for a week because of ill family member.
Stayed one night. No one on site to handle issues. Should be removed from site until major changes are made. Was able to recover balance of payment after several hours of phone calls.

Uncomfortable bed. Crooked floors.. Just old and run down . Restaurant was closed was not told that when I booked reservation.

The property looks a bit rundown, but everything worked well and our room was generally clean and comfortable. A new bathmat and a microwave in the room or another way to heat water for tea and coffee (we didn't trust the Keurig in the hall) would have improved the experience, but we did enjoy our stay and would stay again in the future.

bascially it is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast, and it is run down and a dump. AND VERY EXPENSIVE

Avoid this Inn. I was informed in a text that I had been upgraded to a deluxe room which made me wonder what the previous room had been like. From the unattended, small, and unwelcoming entry area to the mold on the bathroom ceiling, the sparse lighting in the room, the mismatched furniture, and the poorly lit hallway, the Grafton Inn seemed like a movie setting and not in a good way. There was toothpaste residue in the bathroom sink. The closet had 2 wire hangers and one metal and rubber one. Though I was sent a text showing me where the key lockbox was and the code, I wasn’t told that you had to push 2 switches simultaneously to open the box. Someone finally appeared to help after I phoned. On the positive side, the room was large, and quiet with a very comfortable bed and it had a nice view of the common. The water became hot quickly in the shower. Overall, very disappointing and it reminded me of student hostels. The restaurant is still “closed for reservations.”
