Used this guest house as I was visiting family. Comfortable room and en-suite, It’s on street parking (The pavement) didn’t have the breakfast as I was out early. Greeted by friendly staff member and it was clean, tidy and friendly

Value for money

Hotel is vfm, a short walk from the town centre. Bedrooms are in main building or an annex on the side street with parking in front of the hotel or a 4 car bay at the side. Rooms are big enough but a bit dated, could use a bit of tlc and repaint. Furniture is a collection of random pieces. Was quiet enough even on the main road and bed was comfortable so served it's purpose and would stay again.

Good stopover point.

We used The Red House as an overnight stopover point to break up a long journey from 'up North' back down to the south coast. The building is 200+ years old and Grade 2 listed so lacks some of the refinements you would find in a more modern establishment. However it was clean and tidy and suited our needs. The single beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast and a very friendly and welcoming host.

Good start to a busy week of national travel

Perfect for a one-night business trip, with good WiFi and a shower with good pressure and warmth. Noise from corridor, but not from other rooms.

The Red House is a delightful old, large three story town house in a more up-market part of Grantham, if there is such a thing. Large room with high ceilings and original features - not to everyone's taste but perfect for me. Very quiet and peaceful but easy walk to the town center. As a renovated old building the facilities are, naturally, not like a modern hotel. but everything worked fine and the host was charming. Will definitely stay again on my frequent visits to Grantham especially as it is much cheaper than the Premier Inn weekdays.

For an older property it was fine, it had all we required for our short stay. The staff were very nice and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
