Great Stay

The property is very nice with an updated kitchen and cozy living area. Remote enough to give you the peace and tranquility you expect in the mountains while being close enough to hiking, shopping, dining etc. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great stay.

Beautiful peaceful setting

Loved the setting! We have been coming to the area for many years for the opening weekend of trout fishing. The house is set up so there are bedrooms and bathrooms on all 3 levels perfect for families.

Right from the start of the renting process until we arrived and left was amazing. The house was perfect and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would consider renting it again.

This was the second cabin we have stayed in with Carolina Mountain Properties, and it was very well appointed and well-maintained. Extremely clean and comfortable. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and the views from the living and dining rooms were beautiful. My son stayed in the basement and enjoyed having his own living space and game room. We hiked on a trail across the street and saw some beautiful views of a Christmas tree farm. My kids liked walking around exploring the woods and we brought a telescope for stargazing at night.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great! The cabin was secluded and distant from other houses. It was roughly a 20 minute drive to town. All of the couches and beds were comfortable. The cabin would have rated higher; however, the basement smelled of mildew and mold. There was a noticeable and distinct smell when you started down the stairs. There was a dehumidifier but it would only work for a short amount of time before cutting off. Everything else was exactly as we were expecting!

Beautiful view!

This cabin has a beautiful view. The land and surrounding neighborhood were accessible and we were able to take long walks along the road safely. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and playing games in the basement. Kitchen is stocked well. I missed in the property description that they only had a Keurig coffee maker. They provided a number of tea pods and caramel flavored coffee pods for the Keurig, but no regular coffee pods. Neither of the fireplaces worked for us, but we did not call the property manager for help. Some of the towels had a "wet too long" smell. Overall, we enjoyed our trip.

Stay was nice, not to difficult to get to even though we were in the mountains. Home was clean, beautiful views. Ice maker did not make much ice, could not get tv in main level bedroom to work, but no big deal. Air conditioning stopped working on Sunday and we got pretty warm. I did call and received help and it did start working a few hours later. The book needs to be updated, in one place bit says you can leave 2 kitchen size bags and in another it says 3. Due to traveling I think the trash amount should not be limited but should be taken care of by the company that sends housekeepers in, who wants to go home , riding for severalHours with a bag of trash in their car or who wants to take time out of their vacation schedule to take trash to a dump.
