My dad and I stayed for a couple days at the Brookie cabin. Was a superb spot for us to home-base out of while we fished the Au Sable. Cabin was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities one would need for a fishing getaway. I even caught a fish out n front of the cabin with my grandfathers antique fly rod set up.
Cabin is in a great location for fly fishing. Easy water access, easy wading. Host are wonderful people. You Wonât find better people. We are excited to do a return trip as soon as possible.
Thank you very much for the great weekend!
We enjoyed staying in this gorgeous cabin on the Au Sable. We didn't know the "holy waters" meant only fly fishing, but the hosts generously leant us kayaks that made the river experience completely memorable. The hosts are very kind and helpful. You do have to feed the fish, though it will also be an experience you will not forget. This was a fun adventure I'd recommend to anyone. Enjoy!
We had a wonderful stay. It was perfect for our fly fishing getaway. Frank was a wonderful host. Very accommodating for our early check-in. Communication was great. Frank showed us all around his beautiful property and had us over for a glass of wine. We really enjoyed our weekend and the cabin is very cute snd quaint. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay again!
Kerry was an amazing host! She made us feel right at home. We loved Junior, the property, and the view. Staying her was like living in my paradise. Thank you Kerry and Frank for having us. We look forward to meeting Frank the next time we come. âșïž
Frank and Kerry were wonderful hosts! They went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. We will definitely return!
The log cottage was quaint and cozy, the lot full of trees and wildlife, and the riverside location was so lovely. Great flyfishing wading in the holy waters. Frank was a dynamite host, super caring, friendly, and conscientious. We loved everything about the stay!
Our stay at the cabin was amazing, had a great time will definitely stay again in the future. The owners went out of their way to make our stay great, and they succeeded,They went above and beyond. We had a terrific time. Thank you!
The place was more than we expected. The cabin we stayed in was amazing, cozy and very comfortable. It had every thing we could need or want. The screened in back porch was the highlight. We had 2 beautiful kayak trips. We saw lots of wildlife, with the highlight being a Bald Eagle up close! Great hosts! Overall great experience.
Beautiful little rustic, but with all the modern conveniences, cabin. Just feet from the main stream of the AuSable River and very private. We enjoyed a fantastic five day stay and spent hours and hours lounging on the generous river side deck and the attached screened in porch that was available for use.
We'll look forward to a return trip at our earliest convenience!
Our stay at the Brookie house cabin at Three Falls was a wonderful experience. This was a long weekend getaway for me and my 3 sons. It was the perfect location and accommodations for our fly-fishing trip on the AuSable river. The cabin was well equipped with a beautiful location on the banks of the AuSable. we were able to walk out the back door and wade directly into the river to fish. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening enjoying a cocktail while listening to the river in the background. Paco and Karry were gracious hosts making us feel at home. Hope to be back next year for another fly-fishing trip.
Frank and Karry have a truly unique and beautiful spot that is perfect for unplugging, reconnecting, and resetting your mind from the chaos of everyday life. Our stay was spectacular; it was more than we expected. The cabin was very clean, they have all the basic necessities you require to have a care free stay. The property was gorgeous, with a surprise at every turn. From the trout pond, the tranquil waterfalls, a gorgeous dock right on the river, and a tour of the main lodge, we were truly blown away. They were fantastic hosts and we will definitely be back.
Incredible property. Amazing location. Friendliest and most accommodating hosts one could hope for.
Major thanks to our hosts for sharing
their slice of MI heaven with us! We had an incredible time and were treated like family. We will definitely be back again soon.
Better than we could have ever dreamed. Accommodations were incredible. In the morning, we sat on the porch and watched the water. We enjoyed the cabin, the trout pond, the fishing, and even the tree lined drive in. Thank you Frank and Kerry! It wonât be our last visit!!
This small cabin is the epitome of the early log cabins built on the banks of the AuSable. You simply canât beat the views from the porch, yet it is still private from the river. The condition of the cabin is excellent for the age and the owners have fit it out with classic decor and outdoor charm of northern Michigan. The bathroom was newly renovated with heated floors which were wonderful on a chilly fall morning. The kitchen, although small, had a new gas range and classic fridge along with most of the needed utensils, cutlery, and dishes to cook with. This petite cabin was everything that we were looking for in our stay. We had privacy, great views and a warm fire. Frank and Kerry were there to check us in, show us around the grounds, and review the details or our âchoresâ which was to feed the fish in the back pond. The main Three Falls cabin is adjacent to the small cabin but separated by two log buildings for additional privacy and separation. We would definitely love to come back for a second visit and already have friends asking about our stay. Charming cabin and owners.
