Due to the cold weather you have to pull tge door handle toward you and then push the handle down to open. Everything else was fine

Typically when visiting home we stay in a local motel because it is better for our situation, but I am becoming very hesitant of staying in these motels. The rooms are large and beds comfortable as well as the water pressure in shower is awesome, but the cleanliness of the rooms could be so much better. The floors look as if they havent been vacuumed in a while, the drawers, microwave and refrigerator were not cleaned properly, there were toenails in the drawers for Christ sakes. Then there were the roaches that come out at night. 3 surrounding the microwave and crawling in the floor on the dirty carpet! If I were to own a business like this I would be sure to keep an exterminator on my payroll!! I just want to be able to go home, whether it be for a funeral or just a visit, and stay somewhere CLEAN, to rest, shower, and have a place of our own to stay! I did not get much rest at all because, well, roaches! Pkease do better for your guests, if you cannot keep an exterminator to get rid of this problem maybe you should close the doors and move on. I will not stay here again, nor willnI recommend anyone else to stay as well.

Great stay

Staff was very friendly. Very quiet place. Everything was clean. Beds not so comfortable, that was the only downside

The GM that checked me in was very nice but the heater in my room didn’t work and I had to switch rooms. Both were non- smoking but had a faint odor. Linens/bathroom was clean, but they could have paid more attention to the vacuuming.

The overall condition of the property wasn't bad. The staff was really kind, friendly, and professional. As I arrived at 2:30 am, the staff was amazing and deserve a 7 out of 5 star rating. The only complaint I can think of is that the room, which converted to non-smoking years ago, still had the lingering scent of cigarette smoke.

The property is very old but clean and comfortable and very inexpensive. They had a cute little complimentary breakfast. We chose this location in order to visit Carter Caves State Resort Park and then continue on to a wedding in Lexington.
