Overall the place was fine, but we felt it was definitely not worth what we paid and were underwhelmed.Pros: good location to walk straight onto the beach; clean and well looked after; EV charger; regular communication; TV in every room; good WiFiCons: not very dog-friendly - felt like we couldnât relax because of the dog rules; small for 6 people (one toilet); lacks a homely feel (lacking curtains, sofa cushions, decor and accessories); feels like corners have been cut in places (basic Lidl hand soap, not enough baking trays, an old scouring pad left for us to use in the sink); dated furniture/interior design (hundreds of old DVDs for example); Caister itself very sleepy and non-descript.
Perfect place to relax and recharge . Just what was needed. Everything was within a short walk with the beach straight outside the back gate. We were made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble for James who introduced himself as soon as.we arrived. I would definitely recommend it and we are very keen to visit again . Thankyou James for making our stay so relaxing and chilled
Fantastic accommodation, lovely and cosy with everything we needed, fantastic library of DVDâs for you to work your way through. Great beach on the doorstep. A quiet area but lots to do in Great Yarmouth a lovely walk along the beach away.
The property and the location were second to none. James gave us recommendations of places to visit and some local eateries. The bedding and towels was very luxurious - bath sheets and lots of pillows! There were throws provided to cover the sofas so the dog could sit up with us too. The house was toasty, and to open the bedroom window and to hear the sea was amazing.
We had a takeaway fromRyans fish and chip shop which was so fresh, the battered halloumi was fabulous and very afforable.
We also would strongly recommend the The White Swan for those who love fresh fish - incredible.
Go to see the seals at Horsey if its the right time of year.
we will definitely be coming again.
Amazing stay couldnât fault anything James the owner was absolutely amazing with my dog we really enjoyed the log burner and the beach on your door step amazing
Lovely 3 bed cottage right on the beach.
Secure parking for 2 cars.
Great recommendations from the helpful owner for local eateries.
Direct access to a sandy, dog friendly beach.
Everything you need is provided in the cottage for a family.
Thank you.
Everything about the holiday was fantastic from booking to leaving - the house is lovely and to wake up and see and hear the sea is amazing. Lots of great dog walks nearby and James is super knowledgeable about best places to go
A very clean property that has everything you need incl. electric point charging. Great location for lovely quiet beach walks and the owner James was most accommodating. A great location for a lovely family holiday.
Clean and cosy cottage with adequate equipment in kitchen for cooking purposes. Note that the bathroom is downstairs off kitchen we only found out it was downstairs by looking at the owners site originally at time of booking believed it was upstairs. Back access leads directly to beach. Back outside space all decked and will be lovely in sunny days. Front to property has a lovely table and chairs and hammock. Cottage is dog friendly and stair gate in use to prevent dog going upstairs. Beds were comfortably with white crisp linen. Another couple joined us for a few days and found the cottage to be spacious enough with 4 adults. The owner of the cottage (James) was a fantastic host. Warm and welcoming and could not have done enough for us. Amazing fish and chips from Ryans and the Indian restaurant is a must beat Naan bread ever!
Arrived in sunshine, it lasted all week. The house was very comfortable, good quality throughout, all requirements catered for. We visited meal suggestions from the owner, all good . We had many lovely walks along sand dunes, coastal routes spotting seals and enjoying coffee stops . Caister had enough local facilities
A really enjoyable break
Absolutely brilliant experience in every way, lovely cottage, really comfortable, amazing views, right on the beach, fluffy towels, superking bed, fully equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean, what's not to like! Nothing!
We chose this property due to its location for the beach 10metres away absolutely fabulous for dog walking also convenient to all local amenities shops restaurants and bars all within walking distance cottage well presented lovely and clean and very cosy James the owner very friendly and always available should you need anything, thankyou for such a lovely holiday
Lovely cottage next to the beach. Well equipped and very clean. The owner met us on arrival and was always on hand to answer any questions. Would recommend highly.
James for very welcoming and informative giving us information on the local area to meet our needs. The cottage was immaculate, done out very nice and in the most perfect location situated right on the beach. We had the most wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning to this cottage again in the future.
Lovely to be so near the sea. A real privilege to see the seal pups at Horsey - a seal even made an appearance near the cottage! Ryanâs fish and chips and the butchers shop nearby are very good
James (the cottage owner) was very friendly and helpful. Cottage was warm and cosy especially with a roaring fire. Access road isnât as bumpy as weâd expected but a little narrow in one place. Our Tiguan was fine. Thanks for a nice peaceful break
This beautiful cottage is literally on the beach and is all recently renovated to a nice specification. It has everything you need from a home away from home, itâs clean, well maintained and cosy. James is usually about to help with suggestions of things to do and places to eat locally. His recommendations we tried were spit on, (Ryanâs chippie and the Indian restaurant). We had two quite big dogs and both the front and back gardens were useful and well contained. I can highly recommend it and would more than happily stay there again if I go to Norfolk again. It would be nice to try it in the summer, but it was ok for a winter break, bearing in mind you are literally on the beach.
Loved the cottage. Immaculate and adorable rolled into one complete package. Steps from beach. James, the owner, was great with ideas for our stay. We had just spent 5 days in London and the cottage was perfect for us. Quiet and yet walking distance to shops. We will be back!
Clean, homely, warm, has everything you need. It suited us (2 couples) for our stay to catch up with friends in the area. Would recommend this property. The owner is very friendly.
