Villa Irida is a stunning beachfront retreat located along the golden sands of Rethymno, one of Crete’s most beloved coastal towns. This modern and elegantly designed villa offers luxurious accommodation for up to 12 guests, combining sophisticated style with exceptional comfort. Its prime location, just three kilometers from the vibrant center of Rethymno, places guests within easy walking distance of charming tavernas, lively bars, cozy cafés, restaurants, and well-stocked supermarkets, all while enjoying the peace and privacy of a beachfront setting.



Spread across three spacious levels, the villa has been thoughtfully designed to cater to both relaxation and entertainment. On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by a large, open plan living and dining area, tastefully furnished and flooded with natural light. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances, making meal preparation a pleasure. This level also features two bedrooms, one with twin beds and an en-suite shower/WC and another with a double bed and as long as another shower/WC. French doors open onto a charming, covered veranda furnished for outdoor dining and lounging, where guests can savor breathtaking sea views and direct access to the sandy beach and private pool area.



Upstairs, three more beautifully appointed bedrooms await. Two offer plush double beds, while the third features twin beds. This level includes two additional bathrooms, one of which is en suite. Each bedroom is air-conditioned, while two of them open onto a balcony, where guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Cretan Sea, especially enchanting at sunrise or sunset.



The lowest level of the villa reveals the sixth bedroom with twin beds, alongside a shower room with WC. A dedicated playroom with a billiard table provides added entertainment, ensuring guests of all ages are well catered for.



Outdoors, the villa’s 32-square-meter private pool is set amid a small, grassy area that’s perfect for children to play. Sun loungers and umbrellas invite hours of sunbathing or reading in the shade, while the soothing sound of the waves sets the tone for pure relaxation.



Thanks to its convenient location, a car is not required to enjoy everything the area has to offer. A taxi station is just 50 meters away, and the villa is fully equipped for families, with a baby cot and highchair available on request. Please note that the changeover day is on Saturdays.

Great Stay

Very nice house in an excellent location. The agents at Oreo Travel were excellent and answered all pre-arrival and on location questions ‘ requests for help in a timely and professional manner. Villa was spotless and as advertised / true to photos. Nice property in a great location.

Very nice villa with perfect location

Villa is very spacious and clean, we had a group of 12 people and everything worked very well! The location of the villa was perfect, you had everything you needed with a walking distance; beach, restaurants, grocery store and other shops. With taxi you could get in to old town of Rethymno in couple of minutes.

Fabulous!

Our family with ages ranging from 74 to 2 returned for our second stay at Villa Irida. It is a perfect place for us with plenty of space in the villa, a private pool and across the road from the beach. Bars and restaurants are close by and a cab into the town only costs €5. Supermarkets are an easy walk away. The owner was very helpful before our stay and on hand during our stay if we needed her. I’m sure we’ll return again

Excellent location

Couldn’t ask for a better location. Right next to a great beach. Lovely villa with a big pool. Games room. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for 12 of us. Taxi rank right outside to get into town in a couple of mins. Owners were excellent in helping out and replying to any questions. Would definitely recommend and even though not a fan of going to the same place twice would happily do so here.

Venus en famille à 10 personnes dans cette villa, la satisfaction de nos enfants et petites filles ainsi que la nôtre a été générale. Vraiment, le confort, l'aménagement, la propreté, l'espace de chaque pièce, la salle de jeux, la belle piscine ont fait de ces vacances une pleine réussite. Une mention particulière à la propriétaire pour son souci de donner entière satisfaction sur quoi que ce soit, et sa présence au moindre besoin. A proximité des commerces, super Market, boulangerie auxquels nous pouvions nous rendre à pieds, tout comme le centre-ville de Rethymno, nous avons apprécié ne pas toujours utiliser nos véhicules. L'emplacement de cette villa est très agréable, car situé en bout de l'avenue, il n'y a de ce fait aucune circulation passant devant la villa. Cela en fait un endroit calme . La villa permet de stationner à deux véhicules très aisément, il est fort possible probablement de stationner à 3 véhicules. La propriétaire nous ayant précisé que nous étions les premiers français à louer, nous ne pouvons que conseiller à d'autres cette villa, ce secteur, sachant que dans Rethymno nous y avons découvert des restaurants méritants de s'y arrêter tant par l'accueil que les spécialités culinaires Crêtoises. Merci encore aux propriétaires d'avoir une villa ainsi. Bernard &Marianne "de Touraine".

Entspannungsurlaub mit der Familie

Das Haus hat liegt in einer Top Lage direkt am Strand am Ende einer Sackgasse. Das Haus verfügt über neu eingerichtete Schlafzimmer. Die Küche ist etwas spärlich ausgestattet ( Besteck, Teller, Gläser) und hat nur eine kleine Spülmaschine. Die Bäder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sollen aber laut Vermieterin nach der Saison erneuert werden. Die Vermieter selbst sind sehr freundlich und schauen mehr Mals die Woche vorbei und fragen nach dem rechten. Rund um ein entspannter Familienurlaub in einer Villa in der wir bereits 2x gehaust haben und gerne wieder kommen werden

Fantastic holiday in Villa Irida, Rethymno

Villa Irida is a great villa - we have stayed several times and love going back. It is well decorated, spacious, clean, comfortable and in a good location. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Oreo travel offer a very good service, helpful and communicate well, always prompt in responding to messages. The majority of what you need is at the villa. There are just one or two things that would be useful: - a tray to carry items to the dining table outside a baking tray a small/ medium sized saucepan a folder of suggestions of tavernas from other guests and from the agency, where to go for a Greek night and local market days. These are only a few small things.

Location. Owners. Pool. Been a few times but had a few issues this time. Leaking drainage under sink. Smells from upstairs drains. No shower attachments on 2 showers so had to hand hold, not gd when washing long hair. Had to ask for pool towels tea towels and plastic cups to take round the pool. Toilet roll holders hanging off. Not good.

Fantastic location and beautiful Villa.

Loved this Villa. At first I was concerned we might be too over looked but the part of the beach where the Villa is opposite is really quiet (we went during the summer holidays). The Owner of the Villa was helpful as were the cleaning staff, really thorough job twice a week. Agency we booked through via VRBO were great, replied within hours whenever I messaged, leading up to the holiday and during. I would return to this Villa for sure. Highly recommended.

Herrliches Haus

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem wundervollen Haus.Die Ausstattung ist außergewöhnlich gut, die Schlafzimmer sind groß und die Matratzen fest und alles andere als durch gelegen. Aufgrund des noch guten Wetters haben wir die großzügig geschnittenen Innenräume nur zeitweise genutzt, die Küche hat alles was es benötigt, vielleicht mit Ausnahme einer Salatsschüssel. Der Internetempfang ist gut, allerdings nur im Erdgeschoss. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dass zum Billardtisch funktionsfähige Queues vorhanden waren – auch in Luxuriösen Objekten keine Selbstverständlichkeit und einfach ein weiterer Beleg dafür, wie fürsorglich und liebevoll die Eigentümer das Haus und ihre Gäste behandeln. Die Lage und der Außenbereich könnten nicht besser sein.Alles in allem uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Lovely villa right next to the beach. Great location for restaurants, the beach , local supermarket nearby. Very helpful owners. The pool was not heated but you really don’t need heated pool in Greece in August - it was perfect temperature. Parking off road for a number of cars. But really handy taxi rank a few yards from the villa. €5 into old town. We often got a taxi there and walked back ( about 40 mins). Very relaxing chilled out place.

Just had a wonderful week with the whole family. Villa was beautiful and furnished to a high standard. Location couldn’t have been better with many restaurants and supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk. Taxi rank outside, €5 euros to the old town & harbour. The cleaning lady was particularly helpful and came midweek and gave the place a thorough cleaning. Would recommend to anyone who’s after a relaxing time away

Eine schöne Woche Großeltern, Kinder und Enkel

Geräumig, außergewöhnlich sauber, sehr gute und ruhige Lage. Für das Baden im Meer sind Badeschuhe zu empfehlen, kömmen billig vor Ort gekauft werden. Das Beste ist der Pool, abends auch beleuchtet; unsere Enkel 14 und 12 Jahre waren fast nicht heraus zu bekommen.

The pool is great with shallow child section and a good temperature too. Ample fluffy towels provided too. Villa was very clean and housekeeper lovely - very helpful. Only criticism was a couple of the shower heads were broken which meant bathrooms being shared on occasions and the terrace doors cannot be opened or closed from the outside which was inconvenient too. Other than that it was great and we would return.

Die Lage des sehr schönen Hauses ist perfekt. Das Meer vor der Tür, der eigene Schatten so nah zum Meer dass man es sieht und rauschen hört. Wir waren 12 Personen - 6 Erwachsene und 6 Kinder - und hatten reichlich Platz. Die Raumaufteilung ist sehr gut, die Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet - tolle Matrazen und viel Stauraum. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Haus wird während der Woche am Mittwoch einmal komplett gereinigt. Ein Griller steht im Garten zur Verfügung. Toller Urlaub, das Haus ist sehr empfehlenswert

Excellent property, location and service.

This was a great property for a week away with 11 people. The owners were available and helpful. The property was as displayed - big enough for our crew, a great pool, and only steps to the beach (you don't even take your shoes!). The local LIME scooters or the Taxi stand across the street made it incredibly easy to visit the old town. We rented vehicles locally and could have parked three in the driveway (this is undersold in the listing). If the dates work for you, you should rent this Villa.
