The property was very nice, quiet, with pool and good breakfast. Staff very nice and helpful. Ana advised for places to visit . The hotel is close to the old city with a lot of places to eat but is far by foot from the beach and the beach road. That is of course the disadvantage of the place.

A little gem and great value

We had a last minute stay due to changes ti our travel plans, and arrived very late at night as a result. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful bar person who helped us to check in and showed us to our room. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious for a family of 3. We also enjoyed the terrace area (we had a larger type of room), pool area and views. Topped off by a tasty breakfast the next morning. As we were only there for a night we didnt get a chance to explore the area but couldn't fault the welcome, facilities and value for money.

Lovely hotel - No customer service

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and tidy, good showers. All beds are just twins pushed together. The pool is clean, and plenty of sun loungers including 4 cabanas - all just on a first come, first served basis. The bar/restaurant was open for lunch and breakfast, but not open in the evening. We were not informed of this prior to arrival. There was a lack of staff at the hotel. The only person there all day is the very lovely lady running the pool bar. We arrived at 1200 and the bar lady had to show us to our rooms. The hotel is a gold rewards hotel, one of the reasons I booked it. It was about 1/3rd full, but as there was no front of house staff. I managed to speak to the receptionist on the 2nd day and was informed that they have never heard of gold rewards program and they do not offer upgrades (even though I checked and every type of room was available) Unfortunately the hot water stopped working in our part of the hotel, and again due to the lack of staff, the only person to inform was the bar lady. It took 2 days to get fixed, so that was 2 days with no hot water and we weren’t offered anywhere else to shower - even though it wasn’t the whole hotel without hot water. We also lost hot water for another day, som3 days in total. Never received an apology or explanation, as there were no staff. I know we traveled during COVID and some changes were to be expected, but having no Front of house staff, and no hot water is very poor.

Dear Guy, Thank you for taking your time to comment on your recent stay and your honest feedback. It is our aim to offer our guests an entirely satisfactory service at Notos Hotel. We truly apologize for the inconvenience but as you already mentioned due to Covid-19 the pool/bar restaurant was open until 18:30 every day!As far as it concerns your arrival time, it was much after 14:00 and the lady that showed you the room, has kindly asked you to come and check in in the afternoon since we had a gap. We have gold rewards only for Expedia members and you have booked through Hotels.com and we offer free upgrade only if in case we have available rooms and if it is necessary. You have booked a superior studio with sea view and exactly that you received! Despite that, i proposed you a higher floor room that would have side sea view and you denied! As far as the hot water is concerned, i would like to remind you that there was only one day that there wasn’t hot water (in the evening) because of a technical problem , which we solved next day in the morning and that was in the whole hotel and not only in your rooms. Finally, the reception was always there and in the morning and in the evening but you never came to inform us about anything, despite that you were passing from infront to go to your rooms! We are looking forward to welcoming you back in Malia, hoping to exceed your expectations Best regards, George

Nice stay

It was a good experience over all. It's quite area, but busy and narrow roads to get to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean place.
